You Name It - It Was Bad!!! – This was most horrendous dining experience I've had in a very long time. The service was terrible, the food was horrible and the atmosphere was too loud for 2 people to have a conversation. This all on a Sunday afternoon around 2pm. The worst food – On the initial arrival of this venue, it looks like a really nice venue. I felt the valet parking needed a little work, they lack head count. However, the entry was pleasant and paired with a friendly hello by the hostess. The facility is large and spacious and the mood was just right for an evening of dining and dancing. The ROACH MOTEL... – I attended this facility on Friday February 11,2011. I was sitting at the bar with some co-workers enjoying my $5.50 glass of Mascoto. I mean the music was nice the conversation was nice. I had the best bartender in the house GO BENNY. I was in a conversation with my co-worker and guess who showed up.....Ole Mr. Roach he was crawling up on my glass. My friend begged me not to make a scene. Party headquarters You gotta have a party here! I met the owner at a Saturday afternoon family dinner there, and he went out of his way to make us feel welcome. So we decided to have our friends birthday there. That night, the band even sang happy birthday for my friend. Can't say enough about how the lady at the front helped me pick out our food. We had the dance floor rockin'. They told us if we got there before 8 there's no cover. So we rocked all night and good food too. I'll be back.

Nice atmosphere, Shaky management The overall experience was O.K. Nice environment and plenty of space. Not sure the owner knows his club policy too well. Normally there's no cover before 8 p.m. but the owner just decides to change the time to 7 p.m at his discretion. Sounds small but if you're having a party there and invitations have been sent out, last minute changes "just because you feel like it" are not acceptable. Why we can't take pride in our stuff. – I attended this facility on a Saturday in January of 2011. When I got there I was excited to see my beautiful black people mingling and having a good time. The waterfall entrance was very beautiful too. Well all of that was on the inside. As soon as I walked in reality hit me I was in the hood scene that we love to bring everywhere we go. Loved Harwood 609 You should try this place for yourself. My friends and I heard a radio ad just after Thanksgiving about Harwood 609. We didn't know that Dallas had a supper club where you could dine and dance so we tried it out. Lets just say we wish we had known about this place sooner. Lots of variety and great value If variety makes a place last, Harwood 609 will be around for a long time. Sunday brunch had lots of choices, everything from chicken and waffles to fish and grits to chicken and dressing. Maybe it was becasue my mother who is 80 years old was with me, but however it happened, the folks there made my Sunday feel special. OMG! OMG! That is so crazy what I just read abt the roaches comment below! I was there about a week ago, and I was sitting at the bar and not just 1 roach, but FOUR roaches unashamedly crawled from under the napkin holder and scurried towards my plate while I was eating!!!!!!!!!
