Upscale Establishment That's Sure to Please!! I recently visited Harwood 609 on Saturday for brunch. This was my first visit, however, it won't be my last. Everything about Harwood 609 exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere, the decor and the food were excellent and the pricing was right on time for both the drinks and food. Upscale Establishment! I, along with several friends, had Sunday brunch at 609 Harwood. The event was a surprise birthday party. I was impressed with the clean & tasteful decor. The buffet brunch was "off-the-chain", nicely presented food items ranging from fried pork chops, baked fish and a variety of vegetables that were extremely tasteful.
A wonder full exprience at Harwood 609 I am a 44 year old professional female, who posses a talent for cooking and decorating. With that said, Harwood 609 is a class act from the decor to the great food. I have eaten there for the last 3 months every Sunday. "Two Thumbs Up" I was very pleased with the service, food and decor. I came in from Houston for a birthday party and had a wonderful time. I have recommended it to my friends and look forward to going back when I go to Dallas. Wow First of all, I am white! I stumbled upon Harwood 609 through an inter-net search engine and did not realize it was an "all black" night club! Well, except for my wife and I that night. I am a 62 year old, grey haired conservative and I had the time of my life. From the pin striped "Zoot Suit" to the maroon leisure suit (The exceptions) to the well tailored, classy men and women there, the whole experience was first class. DO NOT GO!!! – Where do I begin? My uncle recommended this restaurant to me and told me about his wonderful experience. My husband called early Saturday afternoon to make a reservation. He was told by "Billy" the owner, that before 7:30, he didn't need to make a reservation because the restaurant would not be packed. Therefore we would be able to eat if we arrived before then. Fantastic Classy Establishment Harwood 609 I had salmon and a salad.Superb and tasteful. The service was reasonable because of the large crowd. The ALL ADULT atmosphere was a plus. I would recommend this club to my friends.The owner has a class act in and out of the club. I have been to a birthday party at his home so I know this is a classy Black man. Being an Entreprenuer and all around regular guy let me tell you of my experience at Harwood 609 I flew into to Dallas and stayed at one of the surrounding "Pricey Hotels" where they gave the usual spill of "Dining within walking distance" Riiiiiight. So the shuttle service took me a place that was known for it's steaks and delicious SeaFood. Not only was it overpriced but the food itself was not appealing.
