Parents, if your kid is feeling sick 4 weeks after covid, DO NOT take them to HCA!! Look for high fever, swellings or rashes... We spent 6 days in the hospital, I asked several times if maybe the symotoms were related to any illness post Covid... Infectios disease told me that was impossible because he tested negative when he got admitted. Asked twice to be transferred to TCH and they told me no because he wasn't "getting worst" mind you he spent 6 days with 102 and 103 fevers and they couldn't figure out what he had!!! Long... read more

Terrible experience. They absolutely do not listen to a word you say. Just all around unwelcoming. Had a much better experience with the HCA Mainland location.
A loved one was recently admitted into the hospital for medical reasons other than covid. Before her discharge, they did a rapid test for covid and came out positive . They transferred her to the covid isolation area based on this result even though It is known that the rapid test produces false positives . I have asked the nurses to ask for a covid PCR ( not the rapid or lab test) test ASAP as she may actually be negative. In the past and in another facility , she tested positive with the rapid test but immediately negative... read more
I don't believe they like African American people. Save yourself and get treated somewhere else. The patient waiting area was filthy and no one there seemed to care about patient care. I will NEVER go back

I would NEVER go back here. I took my mother here earlier this year. When she came home after 3 days, they never advised how horribly weak she was when she was released (never told me I would need to have a bedpan for her and/or diapers, so was searching all over town at 11pm to get those things. She was so weak when released I had to come home every hour to help her use the facilities. She had to go back November 4th. She was able to walk (with GREAT) when she went in. 5 days later she was brought home with bed sores (blist... read more
Love my place of employment, HCA makes me feel like family!!!
I went in for a major surgery and the experience from all nurses at every stage of my care was the best and I would highly recommend this hospital and staff.
Clear Lake Regional Emergency Department sent home a patient who has low level enzymes for liver, double vision, and can not walk on their own. First ER Dr said patient needed a plasma drip that would be a 4.5 hr procedure, then due to high patient volume and the nurses being "overwhelmed" he was discharged as medically cleared to go stand on the curb and wait for a ride. Did I mention he is a fall risk and can not stand on his own. Have called 3 times to ask why discharged and was told I was harassing them. Thanks for your ... read more
We had our daughter on August 25th 2020 and had the best experience. Every single person was so nice and helpful. I was so happy to choose such an awesome hospital. If we decide to try for another baby we would 1000000% choose HCA. Labor & Delivery was so awesome. Postpartum was absolutely the best care. To Tina- the lactation nurse who helped us and went above and beyond! She will always have a special place in our hearts for the knowledge, patience, care, and genuine kindness she showed. We even went to the lactation class... read more
