âšï¸Beware! The homes have only a one year warranty and after that expires, it's up to owners to fix, even if it is a factory defect. They left a huge hole for the pipes under my shower open allowing for a mice infestation that cost me a loss of thousands of dollars of my property and the loss of personal items I cannot replace. They are refusing to do anything about it because I have passed the one year warranty. Don't waste your money!

Absolutely horrible. Yes, their prices are lower than anywhere else locally but it's not worth it. They drag their feet. I mean they DRAAGG every single step of the home buying process out. I closed on my mobile home in December 2020 and it is August 2021 and I am still not living in my home. They took 2 months just to 'file paperwork' with my lender. They took 2 to 3 more months to build my home. They took another 2 months to move it. And it looks like it will be another 2 months before they finish giving me my hook ups and... read more

If I could give them a zero stars I would. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. my wife and I waited 6 weeks for our home to come in then now at the last minute before our closing in three days they cancel on us because I asked for transparency and honesty in the setup process and timeframe. I was told because I have questioned them that they don't feel they can make me happy as a client and they are not going forward with our home loan process. If I could give 0 stars I would. The purchase portion was fantastic, they helped me find financing and helped me pick out the trailer and dealt with my "not knowing what I wanted and second guessing myself." But that brings us to the setup and delivery. it was agreed upon that freedom homes would add to my loan the clearing of the land, driveway and septic setups. Last year in March my husband and I applied to purchase some land with a Mortgage Company. But after 6 weeks, they informed us that our pre-approval was incorrect and our debt to income was off by 3% for their requirements. I have been waiting months in a home to be built in the Clayton manufacturing facility in Albany Oregon. I have a contract, I have a permit to plane the home, they have $40,000.00 of my money. I have been told the home would be delivered 3 times. Low and behold, they have not even started building it yet. They claim the drafting and engineering has still not been completed. My 1.5 yr old home came with electrical issues and hidden junction boxes but the company seems to think its just normal use of the home. Lights that are flickering, lights that are half on and the switch is off. Whole bedroom without electricity and no tripped breakers. Two months of dealing with these issues. Hidden junction box. Honestly, we could not be more disappointed with clayton homes or barboursville wv. It's not an option to leave zero stars- 1 is the lowest and still too good. Our home was delivered to Clayton's lot in November of last year, and not sat on our property until March of this year. Here it is, the middle of June and it is still not ready to move into. The contractors have been an absolute nightmare, ie; leaving cracked catwalk blocks in the support of our home, arguing over gas lines, damaging the trim inside our home, having... read more

We are very unhappy with Clayton Homes. We bought our home October of 2017 We didn't move into until Thanksgiving of 2017. We went a year in our master bedroom not knowing that inside the wall behind the shower a pipe was leaking. The Clayton's home in Lexington SC came out to look at the problem. They found that when the home was being built at the manufacturer they never screwed the nut in at the shower head. Well we had mold everywhere inside the wall and inside our closet.
