Amazing !! Lovely people work there especially my cousin Jason Biddle he is the manager!! Best food ever
The food was excellent. The restaurant has so much history. The service was excellent to.
Had an awesome time and showed my cousin her first part of America at the City Tavern. My mother wanted her dream fulfilled to meet the chef, but it didn't happen. We also tried to catch him at the farm expo. Nothing. We will try again someday at the tavern and enjoy more of the environment and food of the best restaurant ever!
Atmosphere was authentic, waiter was very knowledgable about the history of the tavern and best of all -the food was delicious. My first visit was shared with my dear friend Donna. We had a wonderful time.

So enjoyed our trip to the restaurant. Food, atmosphere, history, stories [thank you Ben]....everything done with the utmost attention to detail and perfection. And for prices anyone can afford. Very pleased to have finally gone as I will now frequently visit. Special thank you to Chef Walter Staib for taking the time to visit our table and the awesome gift to my friend Margie..Season 7 DVD. She was so taken back by your hospitality and charm.

Visited Philly for work. Decided to have dinner here without any idea of its history. Loved the atmosphere. Everyone was dressed in period costume. The food was incredible! Waitress entertained us with stories of the incredible history of the Inn. Would recommend this to any one visiting Philly.
