Food & Wait Staff are wonderful.
I've eaten here often. I have never had a bad experience here. Never! I have read some of the negative reviews here on FB and wonder what world these people live in. My favorite meal is the Medallions of Venison as well as the Roasted Duckling. Everything is incredibly prepared well. This is a top notch place. Come here and enjoy. David
Had long standing reservations. Table for seven stuck in basement behind a service door. No decor to speak of in basement. A candle-less candle holder sat there throughout. The place is all about historic ambiance. NOT in THE BASEMENT. Cold food. Slow service. Chicken that was un-cutable. Waiter uninterested. Beer good.
We were seated in the basement near the kitchen lacking ambiance and experienced slow service. Chicken over cooked and servers response inadequate.
all around great place: great food and history
History and deliciousness...awesome place.
My favorite spot in Philly. I can't visit without eating here. I love being completely submerged in history.
We arrived today from Dallas and had reservations here, it did not disappoint. Every aspect from the food to the atmosphere to the drinks were phenomenal.
Simply put, my favorite place to eat.
