What makes Chlöe so interesting is that with limited seats in the dining area, it's like eating in a family kitchen. The menu features pork chops and collard greens, chicken breast and banana bread pudding. What they've done is taken basic American dishes and spiced them up to bring out the flavors that make each of the delicacies appealing in the first place. The pork chop is stuffed with corn and bacon and then served over collards braised in port. The chicken breast is given a good rubdown with curry, garlic and papr... read more

Awesome Experience – I went to Chloe last night with my mom, and my friend ,Sarah. When my friend Sarah recommended it, I was a little skeptical due to some of the reviews I had read. However, I wanted to see for myself what this resturant would be like, and believe me, I am happy I did!!!! We went to Chloe around 6, and we had no wait at all! The staff was friendly and informative about the menu. We took I time with the menu and didn't feel rushed at all to order. Our waitress was awesome! We ended up ordering the mussells ... read more
SO GOOD! – I recently went to this restaurant because I am always looking for great byob's in the city and wanted to try something new. Before I decided to go I read the reviews on here and was a bit hesitant after reading some. I wasn't nervous about the food because 90% of them were good but there were a handful of scathing reviews about the staff... and i have to say i do not know what night they went on but the staff WAS AMAZING!!! and the food was so freaking good! It was well prepared and had a complex modern favor pal... read more
Don't Waste Your Time – I'll get right to the point: the decor was pretty pathetic, service sucked, and food was so-so. I had the pork chop with sweet potato mashed potato's topped with pineapple (it was a special). Anyway, the juice from the pineapple turned my sweet potato mash into sweet potato soup. The pork chop was okay but I couldn't finish all of it because a portion of it was undercooked. Did I mention the decor is tragic. There are just too many great BYO's out there at the same price point to waste your time going... read more
Bad Reviewer – On Thursday night ate at Chloe for the second time. Loved it..., but didn't think they needed my review, place was full, people were happy...we were very happy.( had Tuna, Gnocchi, Ribs and Chicken). Tonite we went to Vetri, loved it, was going to post about it, saw negative review. Checked it out and realized same person had posted a bad review of Chloe...Dude what is your problem.?..You hate Chloe & Vetri? Really? Are you a plant ? Both this persons reviews should be removed from both sites. Everyone loves C... read more
Really good eats – Went to Chloe on Friday night with a group of friends. Service was great , casual and fun. My friend wants to work there. Food was really great. I had a pork chop that was soooo big I got another meal out of it the next day. One friend had the bbq ribs, another had the chicken, another had scallops. Everything was great!!! Don't miss the cheeesecake. Can't wait to go back!
Hateful Staff – I have to admit, the food was pretty good (although the entrees were the size of a small app). However, I have never seen such a miserable waitstaff in my life. We dealt with 4 different people working the front of the house and each was ruder than the next. Everyone there seemed to hate the customers and treated us with utter disdain. 3 ravioli in a butter sauce isn't worth the abuse.
Best BYO in philly? – I've been to Chloe multiple times and have had not complaints, except their no-reservations policy. Service has always been prompt and friendly. The food has been consistently great and the range of dishes sufficient for group of as many as 6 at a time. If I had to name one weakness, it would be the deserts which are good yet not up to the rest of the food. But then again, the portions are such that I suspect few will have room for deserts anyhow.
Good food but not fun! – My husband and I are in our mid-late twenties. When we go to dinner, we like to go to fun, vibrant places. Our favorite BYOB is Mercado, but we thought we would try something new. Chloe's food was good - no complaints. But the atmosphere was lacking. We were, by several decades, the youngest people there. Our attire was wrong - I wore jeans and a halter top and felt very overdressed/naked among the cardigan clad women in the restaurant. Sitting was close, which is typical. However, we were seated nex... read more
food that's worth the wait – My girlfriend and I went to Chloe last night and ate till we could eat no more. Started with tuna tartar, baked oysters, and the Chloe salad. Then we had wonderfully light gnocchi with a 3 meat ragu. Then I had BBQ ribs with grown up mac & cheese, and she had roast chicken with chesse, tomatoes & I think artichokes. And then we had cheesecake for dessert. We ate every last bite! Great food.
