In the early 1950's, mill worker Hysen Chelo purchased a piece of property as an investment. Hysen's four children thought that land investments were unwise and envisioned a restaurant on that site to support their growing families. Thus, Chelo's Hometown Bar & Grille was started in 1955. Awesome food & atmosphere! Really love the decor and the way it’s set up. Although not a fan of country music... perhaps change it up a bit.
We had a group of 20 people. They had a table ready right away. The service was excellent and so was the food.
