In the early 1950's, mill worker Hysen Chelo purchased a piece of property as an investment. Hysen's four children thought that land investments were unwise and envisioned a restaurant on that site to support their growing families. Thus, Chelo's Hometown Bar & Grille was started in 1955. RecommendedI’ve gone to chelos many times and always have the same server JJ. He is an amazing kid and he give some of the best service I’ve ever had. Always look forward to seeing him because he just makes the dining experience that much better!!!
I visited chelos on post road today and my server was Stephanie, she did a great job getting to the table on time, took the order exquisitely and with perfect poise. I’m very happy with my visit and I recommend everyone come here and request Stephanie!!!

All our food was good, we had chicken quesadillas, clam cakes and chowder, turkey club and curley fries, beef vegetable soup .Awesome place, definately will be back.
i think this restaurant is great big portions food is fantastic atmosphere is awesome staff is great the management is awesome come to your table and they asked if your satisfied and if you enjoy your food and you say yes love it love it love it I would recommend this restaurant to my friends and family
