Moved in to my new apartment 13 months ago the staff was friendly on getting me to move in. After move in there were several issues with the apartment and they were not taken care of for a long time. (Very little hot water, bath tub peeling, light bulb out, windows not balanced, ac system working extra hard leaving me with a bill of $500) Upon move out we cleaned our unit beyond more than how it came except the fact about missing the internal stove area. This company is running financial crimes and scams. They require a deposit when APPLYING for a unit as a hold. We read reviews citing delays on returned holds and thought it was a past problem. It is not. We’ve been waiting for our money back since JUNE. It is now OCTOBER almost November. The first time we asked on the status of our money back, they said a check was lost in the mail. So let's start I received the keys to a new apartment on Friday, we started moving with my child, and on the second day we noticed cockroaches on the wall in the living room, then the next day in the kitchen sink, I started inspecting the apartment all the corners and crevices and found a lot of small cockroaches everywhere, I went to the office and said that I want to break the contract and want my deposit and the first month of money back, and the manager told me that they will not give me my money back and they will fine ... read more

My family and I endured a deeply troubling experience at Sawyer Heights Lofts in Houston TX, having been subjected to two robberies within a week, which left us feeling extremely unsafe. Moreover, one of our cars had been broken into in the parking garage, and our next-door neighbor's car was broken into four times in less than six months. Our washer began to smell like sewer and ruined a bunch of our clothes. I had notified the leasing office about this issue on September 1st and had to remind them again on the 11th before anyone came to fix it. Our fire alarm battery dies every 6 days, and is so sensitive that it will go off if we toast bread as well as just simply turning on the oven. We are a sec 8 family with a mentally and physically disabled senior, the manager held an apt at (Westwood apt Sacramento) and took 90 DAYS to fill out a simple fasa online and RESPOND on time, that’s all that had to be done! We paid 250$ to hold an apt!! I had to physically walk in to get any type of answers as I called 156 times in an afternoon not one return call! I am a new resident at Waterford at Southlands, less than a month. They require residents to do a full move in checklist. I do not have a problem with this other than what the resident is doing is basically an inspection of what has been done to the apartment before move on, because the management can't be bothered. I asked how specific I needed to be and I was told very specific. Patchwork painting was done. Manager informed me that they paid a third party contractor to do a full painting of apartment. I’ve lived in Youngstown Flats , Seattle for the past 7 years . I’ve never had any issues and I’ve always paid my rent on time . When Greystar took over Youngstown Flats , I’ve found they had raised my rent by %65 WITH NO WARNING. Its illegal in Seattle. If the rent is raised by at least %10 , the property management needs to inform the tenant 180 days in advance . I had 0 days notice . My rent rise from $1520 to $2349 WITH NO WARNING! My unit is income based , too so there limits they can the rent up .
