John Austin tickles the ivories at this piano bar from Wednesday through Saturday, but the real attraction is the Carousel Bar & Lounge itself at Hotel Monteleone. It's a carousel and really does revolve - all the time. The music goes until late and the cocktails served are out of this world like the "Truffletini" which is a mix of Bailey's Irish Cream with liqueurs. The ambiance has a slight feel of a Moulin Rouge setting, with bold lighting and motifs.

i would never stay at this hotel....a friend of mine had over $5,000 worth or equipment stolen from this hotel room, im warning ppl do NOT stay here. and on top of that they hotel is not doing a thing to reimburse or find the thieves! Still is my favorite place to stay and enjoy New Orleans. First class service. My wife and I love it.

By far the best Hotel in New Orleans! After several perfect trips staying at the Hotel Monteleone, I finally experienced one that did not go better than expected. The Hotel worked to quickly remedy my concern and I am now very happy. I wont stay anywhere else while visiting New Orleans.

I am so mad. We are staying at a nice hotel in New Orleans, THE HOTEL MONTELEONE, and the cleaning staff either threw away, misplaced or stole a bag from our room that had four very special gifts that we had bought for our children, among other things, and were really looking forward to bringing home for them. It is now seven hours before we are supposed to fly back home, and the hotel staff can do next to nothing for us. We will be long gone before they can do anything.
