John Austin tickles the ivories at this piano bar from Wednesday through Saturday, but the real attraction is the Carousel Bar & Lounge itself at Hotel Monteleone. It's a carousel and really does revolve - all the time. The music goes until late and the cocktails served are out of this world like the "Truffletini" which is a mix of Bailey's Irish Cream with liqueurs. The ambiance has a slight feel of a Moulin Rouge setting, with bold lighting and motifs.

The Monteleone is the finest hotel in all of New Orleans I happened to know because I work there and I can tell you one thing its not only the finest hotel as far as service and luxury it's also one of the greatest places to work
This place is fabulous. Killer location. Randy, the concierge, was great. I spoke to him before I came and got great advice and again at the hotel where he turned me on to Mr. Ed's Oyster Bar - a place that was so good I went there twice. Denise, who cleaned my room, did the best job I've ever had a housekeeper do. I thoroughly enjoyed chats with one of the doormen (a big man who was working Tuesday and Wednesday night) and with a Bellman who immediately connected with me because I was wearing Oregon Ducks gear. There is no place like the Monteleone! The accommodations are divine and the service unparalleled! A beautiful property with beautiful people. I seldom in my travels encounter such graciousness. You can't find a disagreeable employee at this place and this is a reflection of the owners and management. LOVE this place!

The Hotel Monteleone is divine. Our stay was in August 2015. The vibe and ambiance exceeded our expectations; the proximity to every must see Jazz Club, bar, restaurant and shop in the French Quarter is fantastic; the employees were cheerful, helpful and phenomenal; and if you want pure indulgence, stay at the Hemmingway Penthouse Suite (Room 1600) as it is on the rooftop with a private entrance to the pool and great balcony views of the city.
Love this place. The carousel bar is one of our favorite bars.
We used to stay at the Royal Sonesta, but on last stay we booked the Monteleon and will always go back. Staff was great, rooms were very comfortable and service amazing.
