John Austin tickles the ivories at this piano bar from Wednesday through Saturday, but the real attraction is the Carousel Bar & Lounge itself at Hotel Monteleone. It's a carousel and really does revolve - all the time. The music goes until late and the cocktails served are out of this world like the "Truffletini" which is a mix of Bailey's Irish Cream with liqueurs. The ambiance has a slight feel of a Moulin Rouge setting, with bold lighting and motifs.

I will never stay there ever again....rude staff...fire alarm stayed on for SEVEN HOURS in the middle of the night and no compensation was offered.
The Monteleone is the best place to enjoy New Orleans from start to finish!
Great service. Everyone is very helpful. Anne the concierge was amazing. The tours she recommended were rt on. The room was very clean and the view was great. The pool was an amazing view. I would stay here again but not during Mardi Grau
This hotel is amazing! We stayed for Mardi Gras and was very satisfied throughout our stay. Not only is it a beautiful hotel, the rooms are very clean, very comfortable, and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful! The location is perfect -- within walking distance of just about everything in and close to the French Quarter. Would definitely stay at Hotel Monteleone again.

A definite must visit while partying the French Quarter. The Fluer de Lis drink is also refreshing while sitting at the carousel bar. I like a place that's spinning before I start drinking!
Stayed here back in 1978, when visiting for the 1st time. Small room, but then we only slept there. Too much outside the room to keep us busy !
