John Austin tickles the ivories at this piano bar from Wednesday through Saturday, but the real attraction is the Carousel Bar & Lounge itself at Hotel Monteleone. It's a carousel and really does revolve - all the time. The music goes until late and the cocktails served are out of this world like the "Truffletini" which is a mix of Bailey's Irish Cream with liqueurs. The ambiance has a slight feel of a Moulin Rouge setting, with bold lighting and motifs.

Everyone has been so nice! The door guy, to Nolan in the lobby to Joey the concierge. The bartenders in the carousel bar are super fun. The room is clean and comfortable. I'd stay here again for sure.

stayed here from 6th to 11th august 2016..here was 16 of us altogether for my daughters wedding! Hotel and all staff were absolutely great! Definitely will go an stay there again! X
The very first time staff entered our room, they stole. Worst experience ever. There isn't a choice for zero stars.
Loved my stay at Hotel Monteleon, just left Monday, 7/18. Staff was very attentive and friendly, lots of the guest were regulars and knew staff by first name. Great vacation with my mom and son!
I stayed there July 15-18. The bed was dreamy and my room (637) had a nice view of Canal Street. Everything was nice and clean too. My friend had a family emergency and had to leave so I was there alone 2 nights. The hotel staff took good care of me calling me to tell me I had not locked the door, it was ajar, and they were concerned. The summer rate was great and the Carousel Bar was nice and handy as after a few drinks, I just had to ride the elevator to the room.
perfect hotel and so wonderfully situated directly on royal. the service was impeccable and the staff was so accommodating. we were on the ninth floor in an executive suite which had lovely furnishings and a fabulous view over the rooftops of the french quarter and the mississippi. if i return to new orleans i will definitely return to the hotel monteleone.
