John Austin tickles the ivories at this piano bar from Wednesday through Saturday, but the real attraction is the Carousel Bar & Lounge itself at Hotel Monteleone. It's a carousel and really does revolve - all the time. The music goes until late and the cocktails served are out of this world like the "Truffletini" which is a mix of Bailey's Irish Cream with liqueurs. The ambiance has a slight feel of a Moulin Rouge setting, with bold lighting and motifs.

We stay here EVERY TIME we come to town!!! We've made the mistake of staying somewhere else once for a conference---never again!!! Love the hospitality, location, and service we receive!! We come every year in November for our anniversary. We are here now, and loving it, and the city, as always!!!

Stayed here for Halloween weekend and it was awesome, right in the heart of the French Quarter, walking distance to everything, can't wait to come back!
Love this hotel, the staff is wonderful, the rooms are clean and well maintained. We were lucky enough to have a room overlooking Royal and could hear the musicians below. The Carousel bar is always fun. Best in NOLA..
I recently stayed here and was pleased until I left. I understand that no one is to blame except myself for accidentally forgetting some items, but they were stolen from the room when I left. I called the hotel right as I remembered I had forgotten to grab a few clothing items from the closet but housekeeping told me there was nothing in the closet. The concierge was an absolute delight! Swanky nightlife bar downstairs that moves as you drink! If you look up, you'll see beautiful carvings like a carousel. Great drinks, great people, great hotel!!
