Thank You Carolina Back Institute! My experience with The Carolina Back Institute was excellent. I did not even make an appointment and I was seen within 20 minutes. The staff was very professional and caring. I could hardly move my head when I walked in and after the injections, some meds and some rest I am back to work and feel almost 100%. I do not have insurance and was very happy with the cost. The Dr. spent the time to explain everything about my injury. I was recommended to them by family members and would do the same... read more

Carolina Back Institute is what they say they are! Carolina Back Institute does what they say they will do. They pursue non-surgical solutions to back, neck, and muscle pain. If you want surgery, go to a surgeon. If you go to a surgeon, expect surgery. When the only tool you have is a hammer, it's funny how everything starts to look like a nail. Personally, I think very few people actually need back surgery and many aren't any better off afterwards. I would avoid back surgery at all costs. I could barely walk earlier this ye... read more

Hell. To. The. No!!! This is NOT the place you want to go for anything. I went to have my first infusion of Reclast and was told this would take an hour (a minimum of 20 minutes for the infusion and instructions on what to do to help the Reclast do its job). I took a friend with me for moral support. I arrived 15 minutes early and had filled out all the paperwork pertaining to my medical history, medicine I was taking, allergies, etc. It was not until 20 minutes after my appointment time that I was called back (the incorrect... read more

If you are in pain - go!! I was in a car accident. I had no pain until about 2 weeks later. I am used to the rude, uncaring docs and paraprofessionals at Duke. This was a welcomed change. I only had one appt so far. MRI is scheduled. And it was no small thing to deal with my dopey insurance company. Sure I signed a pain agreement. That is standard. I feel very confident. (I will change to 5 stars when the pain is gone!!) I recommend. I know a lot of people are upset because all patients must sign drug agreement. That is beca... read more

Gordon The public needs to be aware that Dr. Chris Godbout has a criminal record. I read his reviews and I researched him myself at NC123. He has 2 assault charges within the last 3 years. He has over 8 speeding tickets and traffic violations. Also, he has a DUI and trespassing. Talking about making a mistake, he makes them over and over again.

Never to return I contacted Carolina Back Institute on November 5th. They got me in right away and the receptionist was very understanding and friendly. November 6th I met with Neema Patel NP and she was very professional, friendly and understanding. She went over all of my options for pain relief clearly and thoroughly. I felt so good that I was finally getting someone to listen and help after spending a year going to different Orthopedic doctors, Neurologists, and even Duke Spine Center. I felt as if a great burden had bee... read more

tanya I've read some negative reviews. I'm a veteran back pain patient and I can guarantee I'm the only one posting that went so far out of desperation as to pay out of pocket and get surgery in Germany. I now have a new problem though. Being a veteran I would like to tell any patient that this clinic has been nothing but kind (not a rude one in the whole bunch) and professional without being cold. Anybody that writes that they were treated "like a drug addict" most likely IS one Complains about having to pee in a cup? So th... read more

Just a Bad Experience Worst experience possible. Got escorted from exam room in my exam gown to the x-ray area, passing by other people, and even by windows shared with the reception area. When I called back to get my results the receptionist put me through the triage nurse; of course no one answers the phone there, got to leave a message, which never bothered to return back. Even my dog gets a better treatment from his vet. This clinic is more business focused than it is patient focused. My condition is severe enough that I... read more
