I not sure what was up this place . They didn't want to serve us! Not sure if it was because I'm black or not but I just walked out. So much for my birthday BBQ! Its okay I'll never go back there again!
WORST MISTAKE EVER ! We heard some good buzz, read some decent reviews, and seen the lines to get in. After an hour and a half of waiting for a table, all I can say is, "I ate because I was hungry ! I ordered the St. Louis Ribs..........HORRIBLE !...... So dry, not meaty, just BAD ! I had to ask for extra BBQ sauce, and the server brought me a tiny cup. I thought that was a joke. It wasn't ! Only good thing was the banana cream pie. Ribs dry and spicy, beans spicy, Cole slaw peppery. Oh yes, and I asked server if food was spicy and was told no. Couldn't eat anything. I'll stick to my fav 12 Bones. When will I learn not to go to tourist traps.
Server visited us 1 time To Take order and to drop off check. Passed us dozen times and stopped at all other tables but ours!! Wait staff said 30 Min wait to be seated we waited well over an hour!
Ok, I read in a food magazine that this had the best chicken sandwich, so I thought I would look on their website to see what else was offered. (I live in Florence, SC and we will be driving that way toward the 2016 hot rod/classic car show in pigeon forge Tennessee). After reading all the reviews I think I will be skipping this establishment. I wonder if when a food critic goes to review a new restaurant, do they tell the server or management who that are and why they are there? Maybe that's what everyone should start doing... read more
Best BBQ I've had in Asheville. Repeat customer!!
Sweet, sassy molassy! Tonight was our first Buxton Hall experience, and let me assure y'all, we will be back! From start (Smoked Pimento Cheese with crackers) to middle (White BBQ sauce over pulled pork, with the most delectable sides of velvety mashed potatoes & super sweet Lima beans), to finish (luscious desserts involving peaches, berries, butter, and buttery pie crust and cake): this was one of the most memorable meals EVER. Gracious service ❤️Thank you!!!!
excellent choices...the BBQ hash was great. BBQ sauce spicy.
