Our entire table of 6 was pleased with everything we got, fantastic pulled pork, fabulous sides! Our server Chris was great, went out of his way to make sure we had a great dining experience!
Drank my and my husband's glass of water, and wasn't offered a refill until we were paying the bill. Pit beef sandwich was possibly the worst sandwich I've ever eaten. Sace just tasted like pepper, and was so heavy I couldn't taste the beef at all...which was ok, because it was so poorly cooked I literally had to spit some out after chewing for several minutes. Bun literally disintegrated from the sauce. Hush puppies had no flavor. Brussels sprouts were undercooked. Won't be back.
Go to: 12 Bones for ribs, sides and sauces! Luella's for pulled meats, sides and sauces! Buxton Hall for disappointment :-(
Excellent food. The pimento cheese log was delicious, the muscadine sauce made it for us. I got the fried chicken sandwich, which was wonderful (I don't like bbq, sacrilegious, I know). The brussels were great. My husband loved his pulled pork and raved about the yams and the grits. We will most definitely be back.
Great BBQ, great ambiance, great people! Authentic NC Pulled pork with the choice of sauces for everyone's taste. Went for the pork but have to say the sides are amazing, and complement the BBQ perfectly. I will be rocking my Buxton Hall tee shirt in Austin and hope someone out this way learns how to cook like this!
