We held our sons wedding rehearsal dinner last weekend at Catawba Brewery and had the food catered from Buxton Hall. The food and service from Buxton Hall was amazing! They were so organized and prepared for the event. I would recommend both of these businesses! And the donuts from Vortex were a hit also. Great job, thanks for a wonderful evening!
Stopped in for a Saturday lunch after driving from Raleigh. We arrived as they were opening and were among several waiting for the doors to open. The food was delicious and the Cheerwine Bourbon slurpie knocked my socks off. Service was great! My only complaint- portions are a bit on the smaller side considering the price. At least this leaves room for dessert!
BOOM! Best BBQ I have ever had! To all the people crying saying "I had to wait to long or my waitress didn't bring me enough water". Shut up! The food was outstanding. I used my napkin to soak up the juice from my plate. I will definitely be back.
Not impressed. They brought us the wrong dishes and we touched it and then told them it was wrong and they took our plates and gave it to someone else...did not apologize. Then had to wait...and wait and then finally got our food. Did not taste any smoke flavor in my pulled pork and it was very dry. The collards were good and the cole slaw. Only redeeming factors... Food was outstanding .... service? Not so much.... there was almost no one there when we arrived for lunch. Took 20 minutes after we ordered for them to tell me that they didn't have what I ordered. 20 minutes? Really?? Re-ordered. Took another 30 to get the food. They brought (after all of that) the WRONG entree out to my son. So, we had to wait another 20 minutes for that to come. Pulled pork sandwich was excellent, waffle fries were good. Cheerwine and RC Cola on the fountain were a nice touch. Maybe a notch below my favorite BBQ place (Sibley's in Chester, VA) but it was very good.
The food is amazing especially the sides! I highly recommend it!
Outstanding food, service and atmosphere! We will be retuning the next time we're in Asheville.
Much love....dont know where to start. Amazing always get the side special...catfish is amazing, no sauce for bbq because that was the shit!!!
