0 stars if it would have the option.... This gym sucks!! no phone reception, it smells, super old equipment. The only good thing about this gym is the $10 a month fee

The manager at the Burbank Athletic Club yelled at across the lobby. She can only purchase the Groupon once. We can't redeem her Groupon. I came to him and asked him quietly why is he is so unpleasant. He said he is just doing his job, and sorry if I don't like how he is doing hisjob. I said I don't like the customer service you provide. He made a gesture that this is not his problem. I said you really don't care. He agreed. I was a member of BAC two years in a row previously and only used the Hollywood Way location. It was fine. A little small, some broken stuff now and then, but it was a gym. At that time I never had an issue with charges after my period was up. Though I do tend to buy yearly upfront.Anyhow I recently renewed and am using the Palm location primarily. UPDATE: My boyfriend called and spoke to what appears to be their only customer service rep and not only was she rude and condescending, but she basically admitted to committing fraud. She said that the reason why they charged him $30 extra these past 3 months is because his card got declined and after he explained that that couldn't be right because they still charged him for one membership she said "your card was declined but there are ways to bypass that" which is why they were able to acquire his new card information. I know I'm suppose to get charged double 2 months out of the year, but I've been charged double 4 months this year. This month alone I got charged $50 (I pay for my membership and my Gf's) It's suppose to be $10 per membership a month, so I got charged double plus an extra $10....good bye BAC.

This gym commits fraud. They charged my boyfriends account the $20.00 a month plus an extra $30.00 for what idk? We called and they said it had happened to other customers and they would credit his account and assured us that this would never happen again. It's happened twice more since then! Excuse my foul language but SOB's!!!

I really like this place and think it's not as bad as some people make it out to be. I used to have a membership at LA fitness and it was 10x worse and I paid 3-4x more for it. It doesn't get too crowded. There is always someone cleaning. The staff has been really friendly. I haven't taken any classes, so I can't comment on that. The locker room smells bad half the time, but you can tell they try their best to keep on top of it. It's a locker room so what do you expect? I am giving BAC 5 stars in an effort to counter-act all the whiny 1-star writers. They have dealt honestly with me, but I have paid in full upfront. As for cleanliness, the staff try to tackle that gorilla consistently, but some clientele make it more difficult than others.It appears the classes are rather popular.
