This place is a complete and utter SCAM!  5 months ago, I joined the Burbank Athletic Club under the understanding that I was getting a rate of $99 for the year.  I paid my $19, and have been charged $10 per month ever since.  I was just charged an additional $19 today and was just told by the billing department that there is no way to be released from me one year contract unless I buy out the remaining year at $70, not even for the $35 cancellation fee... Completely unreal!!!  DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

It's pretty bad. Nothing's works, it smells horrible and the staff are rude all of them. It's cheap but in the end not worth it, I'm moving on this is low low end.

I joined this gym a few months ago, and honestly its a great gym. I've gone to others gyms but BAC just feels so homey. I love all the classes, the instructors are amazing and so motivating. I recently started taking spin, and I must say it was very intense, it's like a little party, you don't feel like your working out because you're having such a good time. Been a member here for about 7 years now. Cheapest membership price you will find anywhere. The gym has all the equipment you can ever need and the members are all very friendly. I just renewed my membership with one of the staff, her name was Tenny, very sweet girl. She set everything up in just a few minutes and send me off to my workout while she completed my paper work. All these negative reviews are from those who probably step inside a gym once or twice a year...this gym is great and it has everything you need when it come to simply working out and exercising...

Burbank Athletic Club gains its customers by advertising extremely cheap pricing of $10 per month.  This pricing is very deceptive.  They charge an additional $15 every three months on top of the monthly price for "price protection".  This is not optional and I am sure that everyone who joins is surprised and upset when they see the extra fees hitting their credit cards.  On top of that, they charge you to cancel your membership even if it has been more than a year.  The people that work there are arrogant and rude.  The gym... read more

It may not be the fanciest or frilliest of all gyms but I paid $100 to resign for 13 months... There's no better deal out there. They have plenty of cardio machines, I've never had to wait. The ladies room is clean and the showers are nice. I have yet to partake in any of the classes but I know that a whole slew of classes come free with my insanely cheap membership. Although I've only been a member for few months I have had a chance to check out both locations. I have no complaints. My experience is NOT AT ALL consistent with some of these bad reviews. For $10 a month... Really??? GET A LIFE PEOPLE!!! On a buyer beware note I come to find out through regular members at BAC that some of the negative post were solicited by the local competition.
