DISGRACIA!!!!! – I cannot believe the inedible, overpriced, bland food Buca tries to pass off as "authentic Italian". For starters, the service is horrid, at best. The waitress kindly informed us that the veal parm was more than enough to satisfy myself and two other male companions. When the plate came out with 3 teeny cutlets, I thought it was a bad joke. We asked for rigatoni as the pasta dish, and they served ziti-folks, there IS a difference. And the decor? Friday's meets Chef Boyardee. And what's up with making people ... read more

Great food/deals for large groups – Great for large groups, IF you make a reservation. I have always had great food and a great time at Beppo's. If there are enough of you-order the GIANT bottle of wine! The garlic bread with mozerella will leave you with garlic breath for 2 days, but it is so worth it. The food is fairly basic Italian fare, but the flavor is wonderful and very reasonable. Bring the camera, waitstaff is happy to oblige photo requests.

Early worm gets pasta – The food is great. Sometimes the service is off, but the line is always long- unless you go early. All in all the food is worth the wait... love the kitchen table!

If you want Italian don't come here – This place may look very cool, and it helps that massive people are waiting outside to get in. But don't waste your money or your time. If you want basic out of the can Italian then this is a great place to go. I wish I could say that I liked it but I can't. Most of my friends all thought it was basic and for the money you put into your dinner you leave unsatisfied.

Noisy good, Noisy bad... – Buca Di Beppo is one of my favorite places to eat. The food is good and the atmosphere is joyful. However, you remember in How the Grinch stole Christmas the Grinch hate the noise, noise, noise, noise of the Who's on Christmas morning? Well, if you're feeling Grinchy or have a headache, don't go to Beppo's. This place is ideally suited to large groups of happy noisy people who aren't trying to have intimate conversations.

9.8 – The only chain that I like. I have been in Buca shops in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Chicago, Seattle, and more. I have never had a bad experience. Always good food, good service, great fun. Best place to go with friends and family. Not romantic for two, intimate for ten.

Large portions = Plenty of garbage – The food here is absolutely abysmal. The atmosphere is great, the service is so-so, but ultimately the food brings this place to the bottom. Lines out the door, but you couldn't pay me to go back.

The Pope Would Be Proud – Love the garish colors, the tawdry pictures, the menus on the walls, and the authenticity of the Italian food. The pizzas aren't heavy with cheese and grease, but flavorful with fresh ingredients and a spicy olive oil to drizzle. Furthermore, the Caesar salad has real anchovy filets, and one tiramisu can feed about 5 people.

Buca MY Beppo!! – I can't say it's definitely #1, as I have another favourite, but they do what they do better than anyone! I've taken 100+ people here and heard nothing but rave remarks from a soul, and considering my expertise in the field (I'm an international food critic) I'd say it's a damn good choice!
