Great Atmosphere – Great casual atmosphere with friendly staff and great food. Only negative is their menu is a little limited.
Terribe Service! – I celebrated my 60th birthday at the Indianapolis Castleton location with 5 family members. Everything was fine until they brought the dinner for me and my daughter-in-law. When I told the waiter it was the wrong order, he took it back and was not friendly about it. After 20 minutes, they brought our food but everyone else had already eaten. Family style Italian – I had heard about Buca di Beppo from several friends who touted it as having a warm atmosphere, great food, and large food portions. I was told to bring friends, as the large portions suit a group of people and allow you to sample several dishes rather than just one. Favorite Italian Restaurant – It's hard to believe that there aren't many reviews about Buca over the years (good or bad). I have never been to this one in particular when it has been overly crowded. There has never been a rude word or any waiter/waitress that has ever shrugged my table off in avoidance. Their food is always delicious and love the family style servings. Do not go in a large group – A group of us from work decided to go because of we had heard this place was amazing. I would have to say the salad was the bomb, drinks were okay, and the food was favorful and more than we could finish. With that being said the service was horrible. We called two weeks ahead and booked a table for nine. After we got there it took forever to get our drink orders from the bar, and food took even longer. New Menu, Good Price – This place is always great. God food, friendly service. We loved the old menu, but the newer items a nice change up. Our favs, the green beans and the chicken "salty Bongos". We have tried the one at Oakridge, but prefer the Campbell Pruneyard location staff. They are always friendly and attentive.
rude management – We reserved a room for 50 kids for a homecoming dinner from 5:30 - 7:30. The manager proceeded to place additional diners in our reserved area and then when they complained that our kids were too loud, they told them to get up and leave (after they had taken our money). These were a very responsible group of kids. The partner at the restaurant treated them and the chaperoning parents very poorly. I do not advise large groups to book there in the future.
Great Service – Great service! I don't like Italian food too much but this hit the spot. Had chianti braised short ribs and chicken carbonara.
Overpriced and exaggerated portion sizes – I came to Buca Di Beppo recently for the first time and was not impressed. First off, the prices are pretty ridiculous. They say that the "group" meals provide enough food to serve three, but I would disagree. The portion sizes are more suited to serve two, not three. I ordered two "small" portion sizes (the menu says that "small" will typically serve 3) and both items came in odd numbers - one of them included five servings of the food item, and the other one included two servings ... read more
