In 1960 John Brann Sr. opened the first John Brann’s Steakhouse in Grand Rapids Michigan. This is where the famous Sizzling Steak got its beginning. John wanted to make sure that families could go out to eat and get a great meal at a great price. The idea caught on because they were selling 800 Sizzling Steak dinners on Saturday nights! WOW!

Great food; excellent service. Waitress was friendly and attentive.
We were happy to see it open again so we turned around and came back. The remodel is very nice, the staff was great and the food delicious.
The employees are friendly and outgoing! The food is AWESOME!
Went today got a delicious steak,loaded mashed and a salad. With their yeast rolls They have nice little widow to serve you your food really convenient I will be doing again
Two days ago my husband and I ordered Branns via Uber eats and our food was less than desirable. To my surprise I received two messages from the owner who was beyond sincere about our experience. Things happen and mistakes are made but a simple apology can go a long way. I am very impressed with their willingness to correct a wrong and we will most definitely be back - soon!!
Brann's Steak House on Leonard. Took advantage of their daily special, BOGO dinner. Selected an order of their famous ribs and 6oz sizzler plus two sides. Ribs great as usual and the steak a perfect med rare. Will definitely do this again, for a great take out meal, at a great price and to support locally owned. My compliments to the "staff". See you next week, maybe sooner. Thanks You !!!!
My friend and I recently had lunch here with our kids after a morning at the children’s museum. What a great experience with amazing staff! It started with the manager taking my two year olds hand and walking her all the way to our table. A while later, said two year old was in full on tantrum mode, probably because I had told her no to something, and SEVERAL staff members (probably seeing my frustration) had come to our table to reassure us that ”it wasn’t the first time” or “we have all been there”, making me feel so comfo... read more
