In 1960 John Brann Sr. opened the first John Brann’s Steakhouse in Grand Rapids Michigan. This is where the famous Sizzling Steak got its beginning. John wanted to make sure that families could go out to eat and get a great meal at a great price. The idea caught on because they were selling 800 Sizzling Steak dinners on Saturday nights! WOW!

This was the second time that we have eaten here and while the manager and staff are very friendly, our service was very slow. I ordered prime rib and I couldn't even chew it. The loaded baked potato was awesome though.
