Portlanders have long awaited this restaurant since the owner closed Zefiro's. Portland's most elite are again hob-nobbing with each other amidst elegant and trendy surroundings. From the high ceilings to the opulent, mirror-bedecked restrooms, nothing has been overlooked. Wine is available from nearly any region or stick with your usual cocktail from the full bar. Poultry and seafood dominate the expansive menu, but you can also find plenty of pasta and beef. Be sure to leave room for an impressive dessert; like its predece... read more

Too Many Good Things To Say – I have to say, for a town that is brimming with excellent cuisine and snug places to sip cocktails, this is the best of them all. I have been coming here for the last year, and my visits seem to become more frequent with every delicious bite, and well mixed cocktail. This is a rarity for me, as usually the charm of a place has a short shelf life, but I find the attention to detail, sweet and familiar staff, and well selected cuisine to be well worth the repeat trips. This is not just a place to ... read more
Fruit Flys in my Cognac – Seeing a host of fruit flys in the bottome of my cognac, )Hennessy VSOP I walked to the bar to complain and his reply was "oh, fruit-flys, that's a common bar problem." To his credit he did offer me and my companions a free drink but that wasn't enough to overcome what was a poor dining experience at Blue Hour. First, when I ordered a glass of the Pinot, the waitress made sure to tell me that it was $20 per glass. I said I know, it was printed on the menu and I was wondering if I looked as if I coul... read more
wonderful evening – my wife and i were recently in portland from san francisco, we were treated to a wonderful dinner at bluehour by our friends who live in portland. the experience was amazing, the food, the service and the atmosphere were all excellent. my wife loved the oysters and her striped bass. i would have to say it was one of our best dinning experiences. we will definitely return when we visit portland again.
Love It! – I live in the neighborhood and work next door. I'm there almost everyday. I've grown to think of Bluehour as my living room. My glamourous and delicious living room with an endless supply of great people watching.
Nice but overrated – See and be seen at Blue Hour. The wait staff is snooty and service is mediocre at best. The food is good and imaginative but you can get the same thing at a number of restaurants around town. During the busy evening dinner hour the restaurant is loud and almost impossible to carry on a quiet intimate conversation with your guests. Good but certainly not the best in Portland.
This is the place to be. – On a recent and rare sunny afternoon in Portland, I found myself lucky enough to snag a seat on the Bluehour patio. I have to say, this is the best place to be for delicious cocktails and cheap eats during happy hour in the city. Sitting there, watching the world go by, wonderful!
Divine Dinner – We had a lovely meal with friends visiting from New York who are extreme foodies and we always get nervous to hang out with them in a restaurant. We figured we should bring them to what we think is the best restaurant in Portland. We were right. Bluehour did not disappoint. Dinner was wonderful and service was just right. Our NYC friends cleaned their plates and we sent them home with stories to share of a great time and great place to dine in Portland. We will be back for dinner soon.
A touch of greed... – A recent dinner for an annual girls night out became unpleasant as we (and several other diners) were pressured out of the restaurant. The restuarant booked late reservations (probably to keep full as late as possible), despite a late night charity dinner later that evening. We were not told this even though we made our reservation for 8:30pm. As the evening progressed, it was apparent that something was going a - a sound check and feather centerpieces?!? Our server tried to be accomodating, but the man... read more
Happiest place on earth! – Bluehour is the best place in Portland! Hands down. Service, food, atmosphere and location are all in Bluehour's favor. I dine here regularly. Sometimes for a deal at happy hour, but most of the time for dinners with friends and first dates. This place always impresses me!
Bluehour has a 4.4 star rating with 667 reviews.
