Food may be great but the service is horrible. Met my attorney friend from Seattle there. We were both tired and dressed in our comfort clothes, jeans and sweatshirts and sat in the bar. Though, it was not busy no one approached us. Servers, bartenders, and hosts were walking pass our tble over and over but they completely ignored us and made us feel unwelcome. We eventually left after 20 minutes. I felt bad for my friend who had never been to Portland before.
fave restaurant in pdx – Love bluehour! I think it is the prettiest and classiest restaurant. I like that I can sit in the restaurant and have a special meal or hit up the cheap happy hour or eat in the bar and enjoy cocktials @ anytime, w/ reasonable prices.
Lovin the muffins – Love this place. Very clean,classy and the food is simple and tastey. I love the little muffins the served with my breakfast!
Always A Good Night – I was just here again last week with friends and it reminded how great Bluehour is. Truly great staff is, the location is nice and a pretty place to grab some food and a drink. Also it was fun people watching.
Always superb.... – Stop by whenever I'm in town. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the ambience!!! Elegant, classy, always charming (and busy ... maybe the secret's out, but wish happy hour wasnt so crowded) Have never had dinner. (the menu looks pricey) Mostly happy hour and lunch. Great food. LOVE THE COCKTAILS!!!!!!!!!! Great staff. (Cris was our waiter twice at lunch) Yes there are the trendy types and the high rollers, but also can occasionally be a nice place to mingle (if it wasnt so loud between 7-10pm) Overall, highly recommended.
We're done with bluehour – I don't know if Bluehour changed ownership or management, but the food has gone from being some of the best in the city to not worth eating. Four of us had dinner there this week and from the appetizer to the dessert, nothing was very good. My wife couldn't even eat her main dish and I only ate mine because I was hungry.
