I consistently have to file a missed pickup with Republic Services. At least every other week this trash company does not pick up one of my 3 trash services. The company policy is to pick up the missed service within 48 hours. Republic Services will oftentimes not pickup my missed trash pickup until my following trash day, a complete week later, if they come by. The company raised my rate within the last service period from $88 to $145. Not once in my many calls to complain about their numerous fails to complete their servic... read more

They stopped picking up my yard waste and organics and didn't ever treat me like a valued customer. I quit their service since I was having to call in daily to find out when they were going to pick up my yard waste and organics. They kept telling me "tomorrow" but it never happened.

In Oct 2021 I had set up a bulk pick up. I called the company ahead of my regular pick up as the website stated I should do. When pick up day my bulk items were left by the curb & not picked up. Since I had a get together the weekend after the items were supposed to be picked up I had to put the items in my garage & was unable to use my garage for the get together. Generally, we've had decent customer service from this company through our local branch. However, they have a billing practice that certainly leaves a lot to be desired. First, they nearly doubled my **** due to "environmental fees" they say cannot be negotiated. Well, be that as it may, my issue has to do with the way they handle billing. I got a letter from them on June 1, 2022 advising of a new surcharge, Fuel recovery fee, that would be a fluctuating percentage of all invoice charges. At the time of the letter it was 18%. When I got my **** 13 days later it went from $165 to $156 much more than an 18% increase and the only change was the **** **************** just said when our costs increase we need to pass that along to our customers. I get needing to charge more when you have more costs, but $400 per year seems a little excessive.

Poor service-play games/retaliation I have lived in this area for 20 years as I watch this company fail to miss my trash pick up every month. After filing at least 4 complaints in the past year, they chose to retaliate by intentionally missing trash pick up, one day I was outside while the truck stopped in front of my yard to signal to me to turn the trash can around so he can pick up the bin using the truck. as I did. I live in Pima County, *****************. Im constantly being missed and my two trash bins are overflowing and despite numerous calls to the company over the past three years they refuse to have a route supervisor give me a quick call as I requested more times than I can count. They put in escalations for services but they are ignored as I have never had one properly fulfilled. I am so frustrated with this company. I called to end our contract since we sold the service property. I was told that I needed to send in a form to cancel. I did that. I am still getting billed and now it has been sent to their collections department. I have asked many times for the person that is charge of closing the account to call me. I have not received a call. I have asked for this to be escalated. No help. I have called every number I can find. No one has helped me. If you have a choice DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Worst trash company, they have missed our recycling 2 times in a row and refuse to come pick it up, now my trash was missed so I have several extra bags and no one cares to help get this resolved. I want to cancel but can not transport full containers of trash and recycling in my car. They still charge my account even though they dont pick up my trash/recycling. When I call they lie and say someone will get it next day which has never happened. LIARS BEWARE
