Extremely unresponsive and they pick the trash up when they feel like it... sometimes not at all during the course of weeks. This is a company that simply does not care and people should steer clear from using them. This review is for service of a restaurant.

I'd give no stars if I could. Acquired their services on Feb 14th..they didnt come pick up garbage until March 11. After repeated phone calls to them every week. They only came to pick up after I canceled the services. Now I'm getting calls about late payments even though their systems dont update immediately. Now saying Ill owe late fees because my **** is due on the 5th but system doesnt update until the 16th.

Terrible service and customer service. We have been customers for many years, but in the past year Republic has failed to pick up trash on my pickup day, has increased prices, and are extremely hard to contact. When a customer is able to contact their customer service, they are rude and unhelpful. Since ******* 2022 they have missed 4 pickups. When I call to report pickups and ask for a refund I have been told that refunds cant be issued due to circumstances beyond their control. This circumstance being bad weather (snow). H... read more

Republic thinks they have this area in their grips. This year - 2022 - nothing escapes charges and charges have gone up, for me, 1/3rd. I found another carrier. Called Republic well before their **** due date and told them as such. They weren't happy. Like SO MANY others, say they will charge me $40. to pick up their own ratty (they knocked it around since it was "Chef" - holes and splits all around - not even worth keeping - replacement cost would have be $80. YES, $80.!!!!) NOW they want to charge people $40. just to take ... read more

This business seems like a scam. We used to have service through Tenleytown Trash, which Republic bought sometime last year. Since Republic took over the Tenleytown routes late last year (2021), our trash and recycling pickup are regularly missed, and when they are picked up, the workers leave us with only one can when we are supposed to have two. We have had to call multiple times a week regarding missed pickups, and every time we call we are told our pickup day has been changed. The call center staff are either very confus... read more

We have used Republic Services for trash removal and recycling for over 10 years. My biggest complaint with this company is the rates they charge and the inconsistency of the rates charged to residents, particularly in St. *******************. Rather than charge everyone the same rate, it seems they charge whatever rate they can get a customer to tolerate. I'd do a zero rating if it was possible for this company. First, their rates are ridiculous and just continue to climb. Our household goes through very little trash, maybe a kitchen sized bag a week, yet we get charged as if we were filling up that 96 gallon container. I inquired about every other week pickup and was told it is not offered. We do fill up the recycle bin, which is picked up every other week. I have been contacting republic services for on going issues with my trash pickup and wrong billing no one has called me back out of the 30 times ive called. I need someone to call and resolve this issue.

After not getting my trash picked up for A MONTH in the middle of the winter, I cancelled my service early January 2022.I have been trying since January to obtain my refund of $198.46 which they claim was sent on January 29th. Here it is two months later and still no check. Not only that, they charged me nearly $55 just to take trash bins away!
