Like many reviews below, their refund and cancellation process is the worst. I first contacted Bitdefender on 12/6/19. Apparently the only way to expedite the refund and cancellation process is writing a bad review here as it appears that they are quick to respond on a public-viewed government rating site. Tried reporting a problem they have while uninstalling their VPN service, always gave an error while uninstalling and would reinstall after a computer restart on its own, and instead got a reply threatening the post with their Forum rules, LOL and answered by post by totally ignoring what the post was about, answering for a solution for things that where not even asked. Refund process not simple and time-consuming Please issue my full refund. I do not want a subscription due to an auto-renewal. A full refund process of 39.99 CAD for Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2020 (1 device, 1 year). This auto-renewal subscription was charged on my card last Oct 11, 2019. As far as I can tell the virus protection is excellent. How ever never try there VPN service it is horrible. I went a little over the thirty day guarantee by like 70 days only because I really hadn't used it until here recently and you can only choose countries not the cities inside countries this is very strange. Bitdefender free version acts like a virus if you try to uninstall it. I cannot uninstall it even when logged in with admin account. HOW does bitdefender outrank my commands on MY computer? Please do not give these crooks your money!

I purchased a Bitdefender Total Security via online at a great discount. I then discovered that the software is just a fake one that they sell cheap with no security at all. Everytime I try to use a web site, the site is marked as not safe and the program will not let me load it. I save it to the protected sites in the Bitdefender software but I get the same message again. I had to remove it from computer and go a get Norton. Do not pay for this scam. It causes the described behavior and we intend to have it addressed through an automatic update that would not require any further action from the customer. However, we have now contacted our customer to schedule a logging and debugging session via remote desktop to speed up the resolution on this case.
I've been trying to get my money back for 2 weeks with just an automated email coming back saying that it's in review. I've called 5 times and they keep saying they're going to set it as a priority.... 1. Why wasnt it already a priority? I'm a customer. 2. Its been 2 weeks.
My mother paid for the service originally and now they auto-renewed her account. I don't run it any more - for quite a while in fact. My mother uses a ChromeBook device now she has for over a year. I have run a totally different A/V program recently but keep in mind I have run many others in between.
