Terrible ***************** Refusal to cancel auto subscription, and no way to cancel it online. I do not recommend signing up for them. Everything about them feels like a scam. They refuse to let you cancel your subscription.
This company is a complete scam! I was paying for Bitdefender for 5 years AFTER I canceled it. They never sent me one notice. I happened to look thru my credit purchase more carefully one month and saw the annual charge. I emailed them and they lied about notifications. Bitdefender should NOT be in business and its extremely unethical.
No problem with the software. My problem is with their unethical business practice of opting the customer in to subscription auto renewal without telling the customer. In addition to that, it requires the skill of a contortionist to jump through all the hoops to actually turn off the auto renewal feature. You actually have to go to a separate site to do it! I have been with Bitdefender for many years now. Recently, I had my identity stolen and had to correct the payment options with a new debit card. I did not authorize any payments at that time. They still took money from my checking account. I contacted Bitdefender about this issue. They claimed it was just a validation of my account and it would be refunded. I signed up last Summer. After loading the product onto my laptop, it became unuseable and so slow, I had to order a Chromebook instead. Now, one year later, I was charged another $42+ to "auto-renew"! I had no prior warning. The now claim I was given the option NOT to auto-renew when purchased last year. I was never shown that option. I no longer even use or own the original device! I will give them one more day before I contest the charge with American Express!

The customer received a retention offer yesterday, which he refused. As a result, a full refund was processed today and the returned amount will reach his account within 5-7 business days, depending on the internal processes of his bank.You can also reassure the customer that the received explanation and offer were not meant as a refusal of his refund rights, but as an alternative solution to his request.
Wish I came here BEFORE I started with this so-called company. This "company" has BIG customer service problems. I can just imagine what it will be like if I have a problem with the product. What a crooked company. I signed up for virus protection for a year. A year later paypal sent me an email of a charge, from a company I've never heard of. This company happened to be Bitdefender, they auto renewed my virus protection without me agreeing or knowing. I called the company to cancel it, they said someone would call me in the next few days to go over it. Contacted PayPal to cancel it, since I did not authorize it, they refused. Horrible company. I was another of the victims of their auto-renew scam with zero warning or notice, just a notification that I'd been charged $95.95. Contacted customer service demanding a refund and never heard from them. I'm planning to file a fraud complaint with my bank and just hope that I can recoup the cost. The uniformly-negative BBB reviews say it all: buyer beware, and look for your antivirus/malware protection elsewhere than Bitdefender and their shady business practices.

The VPN software is allegedly malware that has software that is next to impossible to uninstall and then reinstalls itself whenever you restart your computer. That's just my opinion and what many other user reviews are stating. In my case I canceled my free trial after about a week of trying to get it to work and having tech support request that I download a chrome browser onto my MBP M1.
