Bitdefender Anit-Virus functions as well as comparable anti-viruses. Nothing exceptional. It is support that is lacking in this company. Auto generated emails are only useful if they pertain to the situation at hand. Bitdefender auto emails contain erroneous information in which one can only ascertain their true intent, if having knowledge of the procedures of this company. On 1-9-23 I purchased an antivirus program from Bitdefender, and it didn't install properly, so it doesn't work properly, it just keeps asking for more money, without doing anything.. Sent many emails, all to no avail. Would like this fixed or my money back. Just got done calling them and they want me to fix it myself. Since I'm blind that doesn't help matters, when I can't see well enough to do anything, that helps the situation.

I had auto-renew set up on my bitdefender account. Per my account info on their website, the autorenewal was scheduled for Aug 21st, but on the 19th Aug when I went to the website to cancel, I saw that they had already charged for the renewal. They tried to state that they didn't want my acct to go unprotected, but my subscription was good to the 21st, not the 19th. Why advertise an auto-renew date if you are not going to abide by that. Terrible ***************** Refusal to cancel auto subscription, and no way to cancel it online. I do not recommend signing up for them. Everything about them feels like a scam. They refuse to let you cancel your subscription.

This company is a complete scam! I was paying for Bitdefender for 5 years AFTER I canceled it. They never sent me one notice. I happened to look thru my credit purchase more carefully one month and saw the annual charge. I emailed them and they lied about notifications. Bitdefender should NOT be in business and its extremely unethical.

No problem with the software. My problem is with their unethical business practice of opting the customer in to subscription auto renewal without telling the customer. In addition to that, it requires the skill of a contortionist to jump through all the hoops to actually turn off the auto renewal feature. You actually have to go to a separate site to do it! I have been with Bitdefender for many years now. Recently, I had my identity stolen and had to correct the payment options with a new debit card. I did not authorize any payments at that time. They still took money from my checking account. I contacted Bitdefender about this issue. They claimed it was just a validation of my account and it would be refunded. I signed up last Summer. After loading the product onto my laptop, it became unuseable and so slow, I had to order a Chromebook instead. Now, one year later, I was charged another $42+ to "auto-renew"! I had no prior warning. The now claim I was given the option NOT to auto-renew when purchased last year. I was never shown that option. I no longer even use or own the original device! I will give them one more day before I contest the charge with American Express!

The customer received a retention offer yesterday, which he refused. As a result, a full refund was processed today and the returned amount will reach his account within 5-7 business days, depending on the internal processes of his bank.You can also reassure the customer that the received explanation and offer were not meant as a refusal of his refund rights, but as an alternative solution to his request.

Wish I came here BEFORE I started with this so-called company. This "company" has BIG customer service problems. I can just imagine what it will be like if I have a problem with the product. From start to finish, their purchase of their product was messed up. I took over 2 1/2 hours just to buy them, and it left me with more problems with my computer.
