I am writing from Vancouver Canada. Bitdefender is an international company headquartered in Romania. Thus being a global company we all can become impacted with far reaching bad service. My customer service representative has a distinct British Accent so clearly not from North America. I purchased Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2017. There were many issues with downloading and installing it, it slowed my computer, and then I noticed that it wasn't updating properly and my computer was at risk. Less than 2 months after I bought it, I opened a support ticket via email. Customer support is terrible and they weren't able to help me, and also took forever to respond. The customer has first contacted us on 2017/06/14, reporting technical issues. After trying multiple solutions which did not work, the customer asked for a refund on 2017/07/16. The customer has been informed that her order was not in the refund policy on 2017/07/19, however the customer was not satisfied with this answer and demanded a refund, which has been granted on 2017/07/31.

Terrible product and service. Their Safe File "feature" is astoundingly bad, it flags all kinds of benign processes, especially if you play a lot of games. "Oh I see Divinity: Original Sin is trying to make a new game, let me stop that for you!". I had to turn it off as I got fed up with adding every program I use as an application to trust. This company is awful to work with. They sent me an email with false information about mymembership (i.e., my membership had expired) and then refused to refund auto-renewal costs for the membership that had not actually expired. No one in a position of authority to do anything to fix the issue will take the initiative to resolve the problem. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

My Bitdefender stopped working, Bitdefender told me it was because of a new 'platform' and gave me some instructions that never worked. I finally received a refund from them(I threatened to call in my credit card company and the state consumer fraud department and would have done it too, state consumer fraud departments are free to the consumer and they investigate your complaint) and got a refund from Bitdefender the next day) , but continue to get Bitdefender updates. Bought on free trial Bitdefender anti virus... recommended by CNET. Downloaded and it immediately made my laptop nearly useless. Got the uninstall link from bitdefender and uninstalled. Cancelled my order during the free trial. They charged my paypal account 40 dollars anyway. Paypal has not been any help resolving this so far. and bitdefender won't refund my money. THANKS CNET, you're a joke too along with Paypal who brag about their protection of customers..

. The customer has first contacted us on 2017/05/30 asking for a refund and an uninstall kit. He has been given an uninstall kit on 2017/06/01 and his refund was processed on 2017/06/02. He has also been notified of his refund on 2017/06/02.

I have been fighting with this company for almost two months. As described by other users, as soon as I installed this software, I was unable to browse the internet and was unable to verify the serial code I should have received after paying $50. They are giving me the proverbial runaround and I am trying to get my refund through Paypal. Stay as far away from this company as you can and don't trust them.

Do not give these people your credit card! The software they sell will freeze up and bog down your computer! It is "anti-virus" software that is worse than a virus! I tried cancelling after 34 days because it had gotten so bad my mouse froze every few seconds and wouldn't move. Uninstalling their product fixed the issue, but they will not issue a refund! Horrible horrible horrible company!

Bitdefender will abuse their customers trust when they have received your credit card details. I bought their product in 2015 and before the subscription was finished I purchased the Norton product instead because I felt Norton provide a better quality of product. In 2016 without my permission, Bitdefender automatically renewed my subscription. I received a refund after a long period of time and was assured that they would not automatically renew again.
