This software is terrible. Do not do business with bitdefender. On top of the lousy software it makes it nearly impossible to remove from your computer. It constantly states you need administrative permissions and passwords that it never asked you to set up.
My son purchased this software with my card a year ago, and immediately uninstalled it. I logged in and verified that the auto renewal was not enabled. Today I got a charge for $89.99, which is more than twice the cost of the original software. Customer support says that a 'colleague' will call me back within 24-48 hours. Based on reviews I am going to have to initiate a chargeback/dispute with my bank.

I purchased their product because of the good reviews on PC mag. It would not load because there was a remnant of ByteFence that would not remove and their software would not load with it there. My computer was working fine, the only issue was their software! They entered my computer through TeamViewer twice. BitDefender is a terrible company, just terrible. I bought their internet security software last year based on positive reviews, but it slowed my computer down to a crawl. I submitted an online request for refund, but their online system was terrible, but received dozens of non-responsive automated email replies. Finally, after about a month, I was able to get a reply in which BitDefender promised to refund my money within 5-7 business days. That was on Dec. 1, 2016. I had a $117 charge on my account supposedly for auto renewal of my business antivirus when I never even heard of BitDefender until I saw a charge in my bank. I called their support and the guy even said the product key that they renew is for a mobile security not a business one but they are charging as a business antivirus.I went to my bank and its under investigation how this company got my banking info

I am writing from Vancouver Canada. Bitdefender is an international company headquartered in Romania. Thus being a global company we all can become impacted with far reaching bad service. There were many issues with downloading and installing it, it slowed my computer, and then I noticed that it wasn't updating properly and my computer was at risk. The customer has been informed that her order was not in the refund policy on 2017/07/19, however the customer was not satisfied with this answer and demanded a refund, which has been granted on 2017/07/31.
Terrible product and service. Their Safe File "feature" is astoundingly bad, it flags all kinds of benign processes, especially if you play a lot of games. "Oh I see Divinity: Original Sin is trying to make a new game, let me stop that for you!". I had to turn it off as I got fed up with adding every program I use as an application to trust. This company is awful to work with. They sent me an email with false information about mymembership (i.e., my membership had expired) and then refused to refund auto-renewal costs for the membership that had not actually expired. No one in a position of authority to do anything to fix the issue will take the initiative to resolve the problem. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
