Best brunch in Altoona. I recommend the chicken fried steak made from beef tenderloin. Very dated decor, but who cares when the food is this good!

We don't go out to eat anywhere else now!!! We have never had a bad meal. I LOVE the iced tea served in the 1/2 carafe's, our glass is never empty :)
I have always loved this place. It's Altoona's best kept secret. Prime rib is awesome. Just moved back from Florida only one good steak down there. Hurricane Charley's in Punta Gorda.

Awesome meals and service...always. Our favorite place for steak, salad and onion rings. Has an awesome Sunday brunch too.
We went this morning for brunch, it's possible I'll never go anywhere else for Sunday breakfast. With it being Easter I called around to do some price checking. Right across the street was charging $23.95 a person. ..WHAT? We had the gentleman server with the southern accent, I wish I would have gotten his name because he was outstanding. Nice job Big Steer. A great place for breakfast at a very reasonable price.
