The entire bar and restaurant is designed in dark, elegant wood with very stylish and comfortable furniture, chairs and booths--even the requisite fireplace--giving it a private club-like feeling. Beautiful multi-hued granite is used for the table tops and the bar, highlighting the overall design. The owner, Brett Anderson, (a lawyer, but we won't hold that against him) has done an excellent job of designing and furnishing the restaurant and has obviously spared no expense. From bellevue 1st time here. Will drive 2 hrs again just for super service and awesome steak
Awesome meals and service...always. Our favorite place for steak, salad and onion rings. Has an awesome Sunday brunch too.
We went this morning for brunch, it's possible I'll never go anywhere else for Sunday breakfast. With it being Easter I called around to do some price checking. Right across the street was charging $23.95 a person. ..WHAT? We had the gentleman server with the southern accent, I wish I would have gotten his name because he was outstanding. Nice job Big Steer. A great place for breakfast at a very reasonable price.
Normally I go for the steak de burgo because it is out of this world! However, went for Sunday brunch yesterday and I can't give their Sunday brunch enough stars. It was wonderful!!!! And the experimental funnel cake dessert needs to be a permanent menu item!!! Will be back regularly!!!
Amazing food very friendly staff food was fast and very good definitely coming back in the future. Luke was a very respectful and nice server not one complaint at all.
birthday party for Cathy Comer We were at big Steer last Sat evening with our Son & Daughter in Law John & Jan Comer and the meal was outstanding and the server was really efficient and helpful it was my wifes birthday and she was treated like royalty thanks again and we will be back again Pastor Jack Comer
All the fine meals that I've had at the Big Steer in Altoona have been fantastic. I even arraigned my parents 35 wedding anniversary party there and all was handled by the staff very well. Wheather it's appetizers to salads or seafood to steaks it's all high quality and correctly done. Remember there is always room for improvement.
