The sales staff works really hard to help put together your event, but the set-up crew always seems to undermine all their good work....that combined with a very young serving crew that’s lacks common sense & pride in their works detracts from all the new decor and renovations the hotel has recently made...
From the outside it looks promising.. the hallways are a work in progress... our showerhead is.. interesting. our bathroom door doesn't shut bc of the layers of paint caked on the hinges.. the restaurant served decent food, if u like it cold to the touch and seems to be understaffed in general with no organization. We waited almost an hour before getting our order. The highlight of the place is the staff in my opinion. Great sense of humor I'm glad they will joke around a little with us and very accommodating.
The upgrades that in progress appear to be making this hotel a better place to stay, but it definitely has a way to go. Fixing the terrible exterior doors would be the first thing I'd do next. The restaurant is usually out of several items early in the shift (such as *steak*) and the kitchen is incredibly slow -- about 30 minutes for my French Onion soup... which still had a whole bay leaf in it. Nice renovations since I last stayed there. Staff is always super friendly..
Conference facility was very nice. Speaker occasionally had trouble with the mic. Would suggest checking the ladies restroom for adequate toilet paper more frequently (especially when you're hosting a conference attended mostly by women).
