Friendly Spa I've been to Bernards several times for various services including bikini wax, manicure and pedicure. I would highly recommends the spa pedicure- very relaxing massage chairs and friendly experienced staff. The salon is also very clean and sanitary. The prices are pretty good for a spa too. The only downside was that the pedicure took much longer than I expected but then again who can complain about that- as long as you have the time! Bernard's Rocks! If you consider yourself high maintenance, this may just be the salon for you. It offers a full array of services. You can plan on spending hours being treated to the best in a wash, cut, color, blow dry, set, and style. You can then move on to a manicure and pedicure. They stylists are warm and friendly. My Make-over Haircut and a Stylist that Listened! So far I have to rate my experience at Bernard's in Marlton very favorably. I was in the area and called to see if I could drop in and get a haircut. When I explained that I was wanting to get some new style recommendations, the "girl" on the phone seemed to match me up with someone she felt could help me with my request. OK Bernards Salon and Spa is located in a strip mall and is quite pricey for that type of location. I went here once and was very dissatisfied with the end result. The stylist did not do what I asked and what I got was extremely unflattering. I believe she just did not know what to do with curly hair. However, many friends who frequent Bernards are very happy with the experience.
Satisfied but not Impressed I went to Bernard's for the first time (I had won a gift card at a raffle) for a pedicure. I arrived a few minutes early and was greeted promptly by the gentleman at the front desk. I waited for about 10 minutes and then was taken back to the pedicure room. Bernard's Salon & Day Spa is Not Worth It I went to Bernard's for awhile until I got tired of the poor service: Reception staff was very unprofessional - I was literally shoved out of the way so that all the receptionists could greet and fawn over a Flyers' wife. Did she really require three staffers to escort her into the salon? If your tine is valuable to you - dont go to Bernards Yet again the staff was horrible. I had a pedi. appointment that I booked as a birthday gift for a friend and myself. Half an hour after my friend had a pedi., I was still waiting ..... The usual thing happened "we appologize - we will give u a free pedi". Poor customer service The receptionist area needs customer service training. They are so rude over the telephone and in person. Lack professionalism and overall customer service. Salons/spas are a dime a dozen, and your right I do not have to come here but the group on's are right up my alley. Really reconsidering this salon group on and all. No one wants to feel unwelcomed! Its Your Job not mine. You need customers for business and referrals. Not happening if I'm not happy.
Discount for Students!! Hey, I don't particularly like the environment of Bernard's, you know the typically "stoody, toody, who is holding what bag, what car do you drive" atmosphere. I know that there are some talented hairdressers and some are not. However, I still go because.. on MONDAYS AFTER 12PM, STUDENTS GET 50% OFF ANY SERVICE (with student i.d.).
