Bernard's Salon & Day Spa is AWESOME!!!! My 1st visit was to use a gift certificate,and that's where I found "home". I am a former mgr. of a salon&spa. I travel from the shore area for my highlights & cuts. I was fortunate to go to both locations, where I met the mgr. of Marlton & the owner at Cherry Hill, NJ. What more can I say. I now go with my daughter, when possible, who also lives at the shore. Rosa does my color & Dana does my cuts. I hope to include a facial on my next trip!!!.
GREAT NAILS AND WAXING I have been a client at Bernard's for almost 10 years and I have to say it is a wonderful salon. Everyone there is friendly and talented. I try to use all the services when I can, but mostly I do waxing and nails. Erika has been doing my nails forever and she is AMAZING!!! Bernard's Salon & Day Spa is Not Worth It I went to Bernard's for awhile until I got tired of the poor service: Reception staff was very unprofessional - I was literally shoved out of the way so that all the receptionists could greet and fawn over a Flyers' wife. Did she really require three staffers to escort her into the salon?
wow! The massage was wonderful with Rachael D. The staff was so friendly. The shampoo ladies now how to give a great shampoo!!! My haircut with Che Che was great! A real pro in the business!!
Discount for Students!! Hey, I don't particularly like the environment of Bernard's, you know the typically "stoody, toody, who is holding what bag, what car do you drive" atmosphere. I know that there are some talented hairdressers and some are not. However, I still go because.. on MONDAYS AFTER 12PM, STUDENTS GET 50% OFF ANY SERVICE (with student i.d.).
If not for Thomas Bernard! no mention of age Thomas Bernard new how to treat clients and staff alike, to bad his establishment is getting a bad name because of self centered egotistic staff, There are very committed and skilled professionals at Bernard's, like Alfred and Maurine just to mention a few. It may be in a strip mall location but they do an awesome business, hopefully the attitudes mentioned in previous blogs of the people who work there will change with maturity and dignity. that's what makes all the difference.
Massage was wonderful, but the manicure NOT SO MUCH I went in for a birthday massage and a manicure. I will say the massage was WONDERFUL. I think his name was jeff.. Then i went for my manicure.. I waited in my chair for 5 minutes for her to come back- when she came back she didnt even look at me- just started to talk to the girl next to her. I definately felt like i was being rushed. Excellent massage, defenitely recommended! 4/16/08 @ the Cherry Hill, NJ location - Got the 60 minute signature massage which provided neck-to-toe, long stroke massage for $60.00 (not incl. tax & tip). Mellissa was my masseuse and she was very professional and on the dot 60 minutes. I didn't have to wait once I got to my appointment (i was a few minutes late myself).
