it would be 5 stars if the Vet and her assistant weren't so down grading with the way they talked to you. they treat you as if you were 5 years old. my boyfriend and i were there for my dog who had a problem with his anal gland and we were lectured about not having him neutered and then they proceded to tell us that that's how dogs get pregnant (incase we didn't know how animals reproduce) we were also lectured on many other things over the course of being at the visit. I was impressed with the staff and the caring attitude. Also willing to work with you on the financial aspect.
I waited an hour and a half just to have the vet check out my dog then after I paid (expensive) for the deposit it took another two hours for treatment that the tech said would only be an hour (blood work for tick testing) then after I paid the rest of the bill it took another hour just for them to bring my dog back who was negative for everything... Very expensive and overly time consuming... But my dog is feeling better so I guess they did their job.
Had to take our English Bulldog momma to them for an emergency c-section yesterday morning around 2-3 a.m. All was going good until the vet on duty kept telling us to spay her over and over again even while our momma and babies were in distress....I feel she should have been more worried about getting the pups out and making sure they all were ok before grilling us on spaying her....I understand maybe asking once but 3-4 times is over excessive and my husband finally told her he was done talking to her and that I was to talk... read more
We had a fur baby emergency over the weekend &Berks Animal Hospital was amazing. They got us in right away. Not only did they treat our fur baby but they have a way of calmness that helped put me at ease. While waiting for our discharge papers I was able to watch as many animals & their humans came and went, some more tragic than others but the staffs interaction was above all else wonderful. I would definitely recommend this facility, God forbid I ever have another fur baby emergency I know without doubt where to go.
