Their compassion. Their ability to diagnose and treat the problem.
My dog passed on 11/16/18 @ 2am. Was on my way to this Vet, when I got there the receptionist was so awesome! I was a mess, she was so wonderful, I can not thank these people enough! she made a very horrible situation tolerable. wonderful place if you have an emergency with your pet!
My two elderly basset hounds have been treated at Berks Animal Emergency Center several times over the past year, and each time, the care has been excellent! My hounds have been seen for back problems, ear problems, UTIs, and each time the care was wonderful. Today I had to bring my beloved Sanford in for a medical issue, and Dr. Lee is great! He is very thorough and so kind. Sanford was treated with so much care! The staff is so warm and compassionate, and River, one of the techs, even helped me carry my dog in and out to m... read more
We came to Berks Animal last night at almost midnight stressed out and very worried about my cat. I could tell absolutely that she was very sick and breathing was very labored. we were ushered into a room where after they made a quick synopsis of my kitty's condition, came in with a charge sheet and what they decided they wanted to do for her work up. It was so expensive, upwards of $700 for labs, Xrays, possible IV. Before they would do anything they asked what I wanted to do, but would not render an opinion. It was all abo... read more
STAY FAR AWAY FROM HERE! SAVE YOURSELF THE HEARTACHE!!! No tests were done throughly!!!! She went in for her pancreas!!! I had an emergency with my dog over the weekend who had blood work done on her pancreas levels were in the high 5000 when the highest it should be is close to 1800. The doctors did a fast ultrasound on her stomach and only looked at her pancreas called us and told us it wasn’t severe pancreatitis as they thought but it looked to be mild. When we went to pick her up we were informed then at the time of chec... read more
Great experience tonight! I have never had to take any of my pets for emergency vet care and didn't know what to expect. I called ahead and was given friendly information. We showed up and were greeted by the same helpful and friendly people. We were seen quickly and both the vet tech and vet were sympathetic and kind. Thankfully the issue was not terribly serious and we were able to go home just as quickly. I thank you, and Gromit really thanks you! 😁
in August brought my cat Linus here at 11pm, he was panting and throwing up. As pet parents, you dont want to have to take your fur babies to emergency vet! but, we didn't have a choice, they were wonderful and Diagnosed him w a urinary blockage that required ....surgery. We opted to take him to our own vet for the actual surgery but they were able to stabilize him and make him comfortable. The next day we picked him up and transferred him to our own vet! Dr Lee, even called us in the middle of the night to update us (at our... read more
Unless you can afford their over the top extortion fees your pet is better off dead. These thieves want $$$ to remove stitches after a $1200 emergency clean out and suture procedure. I have worked in Emergency rooms for humans and unless we are reattaching dismembered limbs our charges never exceeded $700 for this procedure AND they want $$$ for suture removal.
I took our 10 year old German Shepherd Jackal here two Sunday’s ago, as there was nowhere else open at the time. I was so worried about the cost, because we moved from Philadelphia, and the emergency vets there are super expensive. It’s like $800 just to walk in the door. I let them know about my financial constraints ahead of time, and they were very accommodating. Reasonable even. Dr. Lisa Noble was incredible. It was a difficult day, and Jack was given a grave diagnosis of Hemangiosarcoma. Dr. Noble was so kind, and sympa... read more
