A Great Experience- Hair and Spa Both Wonderful! – I am a very happy client of the Jay Michael Salon and Spa in Philadelphia. Last week, I had both a massage with Augustine and a haircut with Jay himself!! Honestly, the best haircut I have ever had. A little more than I would normally spend but worth every dollar and I didn't have to tip since he is the owner so the extra money didn't make a difference in the end anyway as I usually tip more than 20%. Over Priced and Over Rated – I had seen the advertising done for the Phoenix Salon now being a Jay Michael Salon. I thought I would give it a try. Big and expensive disappointment. The haircut was just okay and the stylist had his assistant blow dry me while he gossiped with another stylist. The salon is very dirty and seems to be tired so basically it is the same old salon with a new name. Much nicer salons in the area , don't be fooled.

Unbelievable Massage for Stressed Out Mom – I made an impromptu appointment at the Jay Michael Salon and Spa in Center City Philadelphia at 16th and Arch Sts recently and was delighted that I did! I highly recommend going to see Jess. Relaxation Massage – This was my first time getting a massage at the Phoenix Spa with Augustine. If I had one word, it would be "FANTASTIC!" From the moment he introduced himself to me and throughout my whole massage experience. Because I recently had a back problem, I was able to let him know what I was looking for, but also what my concerns were since I'm not 100% yet. I LOVED IT! THANK YOU JILLIAN! – Today was our first time at the Phoenix Salon. Our stylist was Jillian, and she is phenomenal! She is very knowledgeable about the dynamics of hair and hair care.. Her assistant Chad is also awesome. Overall, the salon is very warm and welcoming. I didn't get that "snooty" feeling like you do in many upscale salons. I enjoyed the experience, and I will definitely be back! This was truly a great birthday gift.
Carlos - great cut-good listener – I would highly recommend that for your next hair cut and style you try Carlos at Phoenix Salon and Spa. He listens to what you want, makes suggestions where he feels it is necessary, and always gives you a fabulous look when you leave. I have been going to him for years now and have never been disappointed.
Best massage ever! – Everyone was so welcoming and friendly and they made us feel right at home. We had several great treatments, but I must comment on our massages by Augustine. FANTASTIC. He is amazing and really knows how to work out all of stress and tension in your muscles. Highly recommend!
Excellent Service and Expertise at the Phoenix Salon and Spa – When I showed up at the Phoenix Salon and Spa about 4 years ago my hair was a mess and in desperate need of major repair. Within two haircuts Bruce, who is a world renowned expert in hair color, was able to completely turn things around.
