I was searching for a equity home loan and was told that Bellco Credit Union offers great interest rates. When i submitted my application and received a response back i was told i was one point away from being offered a different interest rate. When i outreach the customer service number asking to speak to the loan officer she proceeded to tell me ""You don't qualify" which i understood but was trying to get questions answered as what company do they base my credit score from. I'm not impressed with this Credit Union at all. I have several accounts there that add up to over 25K in deposits and the service there is just bad. Need to call in to ask questions you should expect hold times of at least 10 minutes. Most recently I have been getting bogus credit card interest charges that are only pennies and they remove them when I call and they admit the mistake but I have to take time out of my day to do this. Do not use this bank. It is the hardest bank to reach and they aren't transparent with any of your loan info. I paid off two loans and both ended up being short from their payoff quotes. I highly recommend avoiding at all costs dealing with these people. They also changed my address without my permission to and going back to change it to my address it was previously took over 30 minutes. Member had two auto loans with Bellco. For each loan, a financial institution was provided with payoff information, including per diem charges. For each loan, the financial institution paying off the loan miscalculated the payoff amount. With regards to his address issues, the member provided two addresses at the time the loans were taken out. The system showed one of the addresses, but the member wanted all mail delivered to the other address. The information has been updated to reflect the member’s current mailing address.

The customer service is inconsistent, I have been given incorrect information on multiple conversations. A few different occasions when calling to make my payment with a representative the call has been disconnected of course you call back they are closed. You ask for a supervisor who either doesn't follow through with their word or is extremely rude and unprofessional they do nothing to resolve your concern. NEVER get an account with this banking institution-they have messed up my accounts several times and nor do they appreciate there customers-dont believe me-need them and see if they help-

I just recently leased a new vehicle. From the very first payment with Bellco there has been nothing but problems. Nobody seems to know what my payment actually is. I was told by the dealer one thing, then I go to make a payment with them and its less then whet I was told. I wanted them to verify exactly what it is, just to make sure I wouldn't be in fault. Based on our records, the member has sent in one payment and the payment did not satisfy the monthly payment and sales tax due each month. The member should review his lease agreement to obtain the “Total Monthly Payment” due each month. If the member has any trouble finding this information, the member should contact us to obtain his total monthly payment amount, which includes sales tax. At this time, we have reached out to the member and explained why late fees have been assessed.

Closing my Bellco accounts after decades as a member Many problems with this credit union The worst experience recently was losing a credit/debit card dispute form and blaming the Post Office (intuitively very unlikely). Over $100 in what appears to be charges were disputed and I cancelled the credit card and replaced it subsequently. After reviewing our member’s account, we do see that our member disputed an alleged unrecognized debit card charge on September 6, 2018. Initially, the member’s dispute was denied because our records show it was a card-present transaction and his PIN was used to authorize the transaction. After speaking with our member, the Fraud Department credited the member’s account with the disputed funds. Customer service reps are extremely rude. I have added my husband to my account. After 2 weeks he has not received a debit card. So we called today. First I called and even though he is not the primary they wouldn’t talk to me. So I had to call again and after 21 minutes holding I conferenced him in the call. The rep then asked for social, pin or account number. And I told her he wouldn’t know account number since I just added him, and she rudely said I need to speak to him no you. I have been banking with Bellco for over 10 years now and their customer service is unparalleled. I have a savings account, checking account, car loan and credit card with this bank. My service has always been pleasant and prompt. I am never short of impressed. I would recommend Bellco to anyone. Not to mention, Bellco has seen tremendous growth not only in their branches but they recently updated their online system.
