We recently moved from California to Florida. During that transition, our belongings were transferred across country, then stored in two U-Boxes. I think that U-Haul needs to abide by state laws that allow videotaping in all areas that are public and open to the public. Your policy is wrong 100% by not allowing people to do so at storage auctions. Shame on you by bullying patrons who wish to do so and kicking them off the property. In a legal battle you would not prevail.

Elgin, IL I made an online reservation early morning (3am), got me email confirmation and everything seemed fine until I got a call (9am) saying the box truck I rented online (17') is not available on the location I choose, they asked me to pick it up at another place around 15 miles away or get a 10' instead. -If the truck wasn't available why they allowed me to booked it.? -If I needed a 10' I would've choose it in the first place. -They have a "Your reservation is guaranteed or we will give you $50" posted in their site w... read more

I had a trailer hitch installed at the N. Van location. Almost complete incompetence. The hitch was installed such that it was completely up against the muffler. Rattled and vibrates the car from the moment you turn it on. Their attempt to solve problem involved a thin piece of double sided tape between their hitch and their muffler. Fail. 03/26. Arrived 15 minutes before close to fill my propane tank. Filling the tank should only take a few minutes. I was advised by the worker that he had too much to do before close. "Propane is done for the day." I told him that I could wait, to which he referred to their propane sales as, "like finding change under the couch." I was then referred to Home Depot.

My husband and I rented a 6 by 12 trailer on Thursday, February 28th to drive from Tucson, Arizona to La Pine, Oregon. Much to our dismay, two and half hours into our journey we realized we had no working lights on our trailer; no brake lights, running lights, or blinkers. We hired TopBox Movers through U-Haul and Moving Help. While they shouldn't be promoting this company, this is not a review of those companies but rather a review of TopBox Movers: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We used TopBox Movers, Renton WA to move us, and they damaged many things including our dining room table. We were told they had insurance and would take care of it. Wish I could give a lower rating. Lucy at the Blaine, MN storage facility should not be allowed to intereact with customers or have access to bank account information. When I called about questionable charges, she told me it was none of my business when my uboxes would be picked up for shipment. When I tried to dispute late charges, she took it upon herself to sign me up for auto payment and took what she wanted anyway, without permission to charge my account. If I could give negative reviews, I would. Our experience with Uhaul has been a nightmare. We rented a tow dolly for our truck to pull our car from Grass Valley CA to Delta MO. We insisted multiple times that we were going to Missouri, not staying in town, but they had us sign paperwork for an in-town return anyway, for $170. The start of all issues after. We reach Needles CA, and because of the dolly, our trucks power steering pump was blown (our cars power steering is also messed up for the same reason). $448 out of pocket... read more
