When my truck was in an accident under the previous user they canceled it, and registered another one, and another, canceling on me each time until there was no truck. I called customer support to voice my discontent and see if they could find one for me. I ended up spending 6x what I was quoted for my move because of U-Haul's customer service. Where I live, September 1st is a very popular move-in date and you must make reservations months in advance if you want a moving truck within 50 miles of Boston. I booked two cargo vans with my roommate for 2 days several months prior to my move for this reason. The trucks were limited to 24 hour rentals, but the vans were not. My order was confirmed. The manager is very unprofessional and made sexist and discriminatory remarks and when I went to pick up the truck and tow dolly. Refused to attach and help with the tow dolly saying this location does not offer these services, although the Uhaul booking said that they will offer that for free. Asked me to bring a (male, brother, father to help) or come later. Moreover, this location was an hour away from the location of booking which was made at least a month in advance. Sadly, this is the first negative review I have ever written. But I hope I can steer someone else away from a negative situation before it is too late. We have tried to work with U-Haul three times now and every time it has been a nightmare. Terrible service. If you have any other option, ANY, take it. Uhaul will change your pickup location without telling you. You show up to pick up your uhaul, and they tell you that your pick up is actually 30 miles away. Customer service doesn't care either. They just brush it off and say "you're moving, you can move to go get it." Someone needs to jump in their industry. It's for the taking. Uhaul has logistics issues and customer service issue. Any competent CEO can drive a company to run them out.

We made a reservation for a U-Haul rental at a local business in Spring Hill a few days ago. Yesterday, we confirmed with that business for pick up today. There were six trucks there then. Today , there was one little one without air conditioning ( it’s summer and we are in Florida). So we go to a 7 11 that has U-Haul rental business behind it, but no U-Hauls there! Please do yourself a favor and just use any company other than U-Haul. U-Haul treats you like a number, not a person. Everyone who works there is very rude and unprofessional, and they really don't care what you say about them. I rented a truck for 24 hours from Lake Avenue, brought the truck back 8 hours earlier than it was due back but the branch was closed, and the link to electronically return it didn't work, so I left the truck at U-Haul and I was forced to take home the key and bring back in the morning when my 24 hour... read more

Do not ever rent from U-haul!! I rented a trailer to move from Idaho to Texas. As I got closer to my destination I had to take a toll road. I received an invoice from U-haul stating that I owed a certain amount in toll charges but when I called to make my payment I was charged I was charged a higher amount.
