Literally the worst customer service I have ever received. I ordered a U-Box from them and was told that I could pick it up in Albuquerque when I made the reservation. Three days later, I received a call telling me that there were no U-Boxes available in Albuquerque and that I'd have to go to *** ****** (20 minutes further). While it would have made more sense for the U-Haul folks to simply drive another U-Box over to Albuquerque—especially since I had a reservation stating that I'd be able to pick up my box at this location... read more

This review is in regards to a hitch installation. I’ll start out by saying that everyone was very nice at this location. Two days prior to installation, I called for a quote. My information was taken by the representative and a quote was emailed to me. The next day, I called to schedule the service. They told me that they do not keep any information in their system and that I would have to give them all of my information plus the vehicle information again. Avoid if your looking for good customer service and reliability. Scheduled a pick up for a location near my house. They changed the pickup location to 45 miles away without telling me. I called and was on hold between both calls for 40 minutes. They said they could not get me a closer truck. I cancelled and called penske. 0 hold time and scheduled me one right away. How can a company change your reservation with out telling the customer? Penske was more expensive but worth when you consider how Uhaul operates.

I rented a truck and trailer from Tacoma (Friday), dropped them both off in Wenatchee the next day (Saturday). I got an email the following day from Uhaul in Bremerton claiming that I dropped the truck off there on that day (Sunday). Then they charged my checking account $187.99. The original reservation was made with my credit card but they took this money directly from my checking account. Now I'm waiting 5-7 business days to get back the money that Uhaul stole from me. I requested a trailer rental at a location that is less than 5 miles from my home. The day prior to picking up the rental, I received an email and subsequent phone call telling me the new pick up location that is 24 miles from my home, but given it's location, can take 30-40 minutes to get there. Worst customer service experience ever! I went on their website I ordered a 5 by 9 trailer my pickup location was in one city and the drop off was in another. I added the insurance for $9, totaling $54. I even did the express check-in so I didn't have to wait in line. That was a lie. I waited in line for over an hour as well as paid for it upfront with Express check-in, totaling $54. My credit card was even charged for it . So done deal right ? No . My personal information was compromised by an employee at this location. I had to get the corporate office involved and investigate who then assured me that everything was taken care of. Two weeks later another email from U-haul stating that there were traffic violations due under my account from the security breach. Tried to speak with the manager Andre who could care less about the occurrence and did nothing but argue with me. I never even used this location. I ordered a trailer hitch at U-Haul on-line and also scheduled an appointment to have it installed. I then received a call from the store manager (Greg) informing me that they had the required hitch in stock. I showed up and was amazed at how efficiently they performed hitch and other vehicle towing installations. While I waited for my hitch to be installed I noticed that several customers were confused about moving supplies, trailers, bike racks, trucks and hitches. I completed a reservation on April 16,2018 and then I received an email from them 24 hours prior to my out of state move quoting me a higher price along with my total reservation being changed. I called 4 times within the same week clarifying everything because I wanted everything to be in place for Saturday morning. Every rep told me something different.
