I should have read reviews first. I scheduled to have my hitch and wiring installed. My appointment was for 11:30am and I called earlier that morning to see if they had anything earlier. I was told no but I would be in time as the installer only has 1 wiring job ahead of me. Ok fine. I drop my truck of at 11 and as dropped off with my wife at 1pm. I ordered a moving truck, some supplies and moving helpers through the UHaul website. Upon checking out, I noticed my first few items (truck and supplies) were listed in Canadian dollars (I live in Canada), and I didn't realize the last item (moving help) was listed in US dollars - there was no indication otherwise...if items are listed in one currency, why would anyone even think that other items in the cart would be listed in a different currency? Charged a month later after the fact with no attempt to call. After getting this surprise I spoke to a Sophia, who was very rude and demanding. I can't believe this is called customer care. I'm not sure why I wasn't notified of this at all. I prepaid 316, for having an extra 2 days, that I called and talked about charged me 245, when I was told 40 dollars a day, and only one drop off location which was an a hour away from my residence, that I gave them the address for. Terrible experience that I won't be repeating.

My tailgate was damaged do to trailer not connected properly. Loaded the car I was towing and the hitch from the trailer came up and hit my tailgate. U haul refused to pay for the damages. Happened at the U haul in Hemet, CA. I tried to dispute the refusal to pay for the damages. Talked to a costumer service rep and was told I’d get a call back. They never called. Very bad experience there. Would never use U haul again and would never recommend.

This was my third time renting a u-haul truck. The first two times went smoothly and I had no complaints. Upon my third u-haul renting experience, I am being charged a large amount of money, but the receipt is so vague it doesn't even state why the bill is so high. I was quoted $68, had the truck about 3 hours, drove it 14 miles and ended up with a bill of $362. I never received the moving pads as I requested and paid for, and we had a lot of issues getting the lights on the trailer to work because the employee blew some fuses on my parents truck while getting it hooked up. When I returned the trailer and raised the issue of not receiving the moving blankets I was told I would receive a refund. I would recommend U-haul having their truck where the customer asked for it to be, or at least CLOSE. I had to drive 32 miles out of the way to pick up the truck, 32 miles back to where I was moving from, then to my new house. Moving is already stressful. Also, they just need to stop even offering add-on services like dollies, appliance dollies, furniture wraps, boxes, etc. I have never gotten what I reserved or ordered. Absolutely horrible, no one was able to assist me, I waited for 20 minutes in 90 degree heat to get my truck. Once getting the truck the man who assisted me never gave me the information I needed to confirm anything, I ended up paying over DOUBLE the amount I was supposed to and they keep charging my card.
