I wish I could leave zero stars. (This review is specific to the U-Haul of North Lansing location in Lansing, MI.) We recently moved from California to Michigan. Moving with Uboxes from UHaul was one of the worst experiences of my life. 1. They transferred my order to another location 45 minutes away without telling me. When I called the location near me, they refused to help me and insisted the other place was actually closer. 2. They lost the information that they were supposed to deliver the Uboxes to my apartment and told me I needed to come get them myself. Don’t use them!! They let you book a truck for a day and time then tell you on day of it’s not available. When you call to talk to management after waiting 45 minutes on the line they tell you the booking is a preference not a guarantee. I’ll never use this company again or refer my clients there.

we booked a u haul we critically needed and then phoned to ensure there was a real truck waiting, and then after confirming on the phone that there was a truck, we arrived and they gave it away and told us we cancelled it, which is an outright lie. they claim on their hold system they record all their calls so there is proof to my claim and no proof to theirs in the phone system. this was one of the worst customer service experiences i have ever had and has left us totally stranded despite our diligence.

Minus 5 stars would be more appropriate!. We are a moving company on Long Island and I called the Uhaul on Lincoln Ave in Holbrook on the 27th or 28th to make a reservation for a 15' truck since we had a large local move to do and needed additional room besides our truck to prevent a multiple run between homes. I reserved a moving truck 30 days in advance and selected my pickup location in the town I live in. The day before I was supposed to move I found out that they wanted me to pick up the truck 179 Km away. That's a 4 and a half hour round trip (also assuming I have a way to get there)! I called their customer service line, and they basically said, too bad. My location was a preferred location only. I scheduled an appointment to have a hitch receiver installed on my vehicle. Upon taking the day off from work and going to my appointment I learned that they didn’t have the part and didn’t know when it would arrive. Over the next two weeks I called numerous times but they don’t answer the phone, calls get sent to an answering service who promise you’ll get a call back but you never do. First of all, if I could give a zero, that would be my choice. Using uhaul for our move was a disaster every step of the way. It took 3 attempts and multiple trips and wasted time waiting for the hitch to get installed. No communication was made when we sat there over 2 hours and they still hadn't started our hitch.
