Inspired by his travels across Italy, Joe Bastianich opened Becco with his mom Lidia to much fanfare. The word Becco comes from the Italian verb beccare, meaning "to nibble." A great addition to Broadway's dining alternatives, the lovely restaurant is a popular pit stop for theater-goers. Sample their delectable prix-fixe pasta menu and the kitchen's redefinition of Italian flavors with an impressive wine list and seasonal cocktails.

I only wish to go back!!! Love love the time spent there great memories, food & got to saw Lidia!!
Had dinner there last Tuesday, after all the hype I ordered the 3 different pastas tasting... They were terrible.. The rigatoni wasn't al dente, it wasn't cooked, then there was too much salt in the other two pastas.. .I was shocked for being an upscale NYC restaurant, ..have your cooks learn to cook Italian because they don't know how to even make pasta.
This restaurant was all it promised. Best Italian meal of my life and the service and wine were as good as the food. We are tourists from Toronto and I know of this place only from reading Restaurant Man and everything was as Joe described in his book. A bit squishy but this is New York...everyone minds their own business! Will be back every time I'm in NYC
I have been going to this restaurant for years! Loved the food always ! But yesterday was interesting the tables were tight the service was awful the wine list was awful wine we tried three wines and gave up just took the last bottle just because the waiter was not happy that we did not like the wines ! Lydia should revamp this restaurant to what it use to be ! The all you can eat pasted were all over cooked ugh . I will not be sending clients to that restaurant ever again !
Picture it, Sunday night May 21 st 2017! What can I say about cramming too many tables in a restaurant! If your servers can't serve a round table of 8 without having the customer passing plates & serving over my head it's time to rethink the floor plan! Great food but that's all I can say! Lidia B maybe we should stop traveling & get back into Becco's! Not my first time here. Very disappointed & super unprofessional service! No need to come back. Way too many restaurants in Manhattan to have to put up with unprofessional ser... read more
When I'm in NYC, Becco is always my first dining option, and many times I squeeze a second visit in my usual 3 night stay in the city. I am from Canada and I get to NYC about 4-5 times a year. Becco is one of my favourite restaurants in NYC, heck anywhere! Service is always warm and helpful and the food is always spot on! Thank you Lidia for bringing a slice of your world into mine! Your food is outstanding and I recommend it to every single person I know that is NYC bound! #Beccoisthebest
I can't say enough good things about Becco. From the hostesses to the bartenders, the wait staff, servers and busboys. Everyone seemed to truly enjoy working at Becco and I can understand why....the food was outstanding. Excellent and I cant wait for my return engagement! It will be sooner than later!!
We got pasta special before a show!! We all loved it!!!
Great food, great service. Never disappointing. Have never had a bad experience. Tuesday evening, the restaurant was hopping like a weekend.
