Inspired by his travels across Italy, Joe Bastianich opened Becco with his mom Lidia to much fanfare. The word Becco comes from the Italian verb beccare, meaning "to nibble." A great addition to Broadway's dining alternatives, the lovely restaurant is a popular pit stop for theater-goers. Sample their delectable prix-fixe pasta menu and the kitchen's redefinition of Italian flavors with an impressive wine list and seasonal cocktails.

Great food, exceptionally slow service. We were asked three times if we were seeing a show. All three times we said no. Asked for a cooler for the bottle of wine, never came. Asked for two side plates as we were sharing appetizers, never came. The gentleman at the next table waited so long that he only had 35 mins to order and eat his food. Then it took 20 mins for him to get a coke. When he asked for a refill, the manager said he would have to pay for a refilll. Not what I expected from a Bastianich restaurant.
Always enjoy never disappoined. Do make sure you make a reservation!
Reservations for 445.... Just be out by 615. Which I thought was weird. But at any rate...we got there promptly at 445. The hostess was rude. The waiter had no personality. Was even kind of rude as well. Got our drinks & salads fairly fast...but our dinners took quite some time...by the time we were finished eating it was 555. The waiter asked if we'd like coffee tea or dessert...especially since it was my mother's 75th birthday...we said well we have to be out by 615, thinking we'd at least be able to enjoy dessert.... The best food, price, service, and atmosphere on Restaurant Row. I would not just call the service good...I would call the service LEGENDARY!!! From entry to exit, dining at Becco is always top notch. We visit 2x a year and Becco is always part of our NYC experience. Our waiter last night, Seth, is from our hometown of Pittsburgh. He was exceptional in taking care of us. He is to be commended for making our final dinner of our NYC trip a pleasure. Also a special call out to Seth: GO, PENS!!!
Becco offers impeccable service and delicious pasta dishes. We enjoyed ourselves immensely.
Great place fast service for my girlfriend's birthday,...☆☆☆
Met friends there. We had a wonderful time. The wait staff were outstanding and the food was exquisite. I highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely visit again.
we eat here back in 2002. i wish i had my photo album so i will be uploading pics later. the food was delicious. the assortment was awesome me francesco giacchino regina and few other friends ordered the multiple course dish-my only complain was that it was crowded, but again if it was empty, that would mean the food wasnt that good and didnt deserve 5 stars. most empty restaraunts sometimes is a sign the food aint that good otherwise more customers would be there
I had their lunch special when I was there, and the service, quality of food, and ambience were all wonderful. Would definitely go there again!
