Inspired by his travels across Italy, Joe Bastianich opened Becco with his mom Lidia to much fanfare. The word Becco comes from the Italian verb beccare, meaning "to nibble." A great addition to Broadway's dining alternatives, the lovely restaurant is a popular pit stop for theater-goers. It is amazing how well run this restaurant is.....We had reservations for pre-theater dinner. Upon arrival we were seated fairly quickly . As we waited for a member of our party the waiter could not have been any nicer and accommodating. Sorry I don't remember his name, we were seated upstairs near the front. He clearly explained the menu and wines, pricing...after he first asked if we had theater tickets for the night. Our favorite restaurant in NYC. Always order the tri-pasta special of the day. Never ever disappointed!
Excellent Italian faire with great menu selections. Very good service. Only negative felt like a sardine packed into a very small space. But that's NYC for you! Would definitely go back!
