Inspired by his travels across Italy, Joe Bastianich opened Becco with his mom Lidia to much fanfare. The word Becco comes from the Italian verb beccare, meaning "to nibble." A great addition to Broadway's dining alternatives, the lovely restaurant is a popular pit stop for theater-goers. Visiting NYC from Hilton Head Island, SC...Amazing....food, service, and atmosphere! Can't wait to visit again!
Called tonight to ask if they could deliver a bottle of wine to my family that is dining there for a birthday celebration and was told "no" - "the manager says" I had to do it 24hours in advance. Totally unhelpful. I assume that's indicative that the customer does not come first here: if the food is good, it comes with a kick.

Fabulous steak, ricotta cheesecake and service! Bustling with post theatre crowd!
I love Becco! My niece and I go there at least twice a year. The waiters are friendly and knowledgeable. I had Joe's Veal Chop and my niece had the short ribs. YUMMO! And the ricotta cheesecake is good too. ps don't forget to try the meatballs!
We were seated right away although we had reservations booked thru the Plaza Hotel. Service was good. Although while returning from the restroom i said excuse me to a waitress since she was blocking my chair. She was serving the table next to us...and she was extremely rude...by answering me Well excuse me.!!..i was very polite and said excuse me so i dont know what that was about she seems very rude to her table also...but otherwise our server and busboys were very good and friendly...i was not impressed with the food...act... read more
Located in Restaurant row, this place gets a lot of traffic. At 4:30, Our party of four was escorted upstairs. The air conditioning wasn't on yet so we asked for it to be put on. We were the first table seated upstairs but it quickly filled up which made the noise level uncomfortable. The "all you can eat" pasta was disappointing because although you can continue to get refills, the description we were given didn't match the actual dish. Had lunch yesterday with a party of 16. Great food and service from Frank our waiter.
Delicious all you care to eat pasta. Came with a great Ceasars salad. Plenty of food. Pasta was very fresh and tasty. Bread basket on table. Highly recommend. I did order the appetizer mozzarella in carrozza. It was good, but very tiny for $12. I feel as if there could have been 3 on the plate for that price.
